The mansion where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle filmed their controversial Netflix documentary features many luxurious facilities, a far cry from their Royal accommodation in the UK.

After it drops on Netflix, Harry and Meghan's much-awaited docuseries have drawn many viewers. The show, in which the Sussexes share untold stories of the British Royal Family, also gives fans a glimpse into their everyday life in America. In 2020, they decided to leave the UK to settle down permanently in California, where they gave birth to their two children, Lilibet and Archie.

Where did Harry and Meghan film their Netflix docuseries?

In one of the episodes of the couple's new Netflix series, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a special setting that is claimed to be Harry and Meghan's home.

According to OK!, the 13,599 square-foot Mediterranean-style home is situated on gorgeous grounds with citrus groves and palm trees in Montecito, California. The controversial property where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shot their Netflix documentary is currently on the market for $33.5 million (£26.7 million).

Top Ten Real Estate Deals highlighted the house as the setting for several of the interviews in the six-part documentary Harry & Meghan.

Harry's boyhood buddy 'Nicky,' British historian, writer, journalist, broadcaster, and BAFTA-winning filmmaker David Olusoga, and Meghan's pal Lucy Fraser are among others interviewed in the mansion.

The magnificent six-bedroom home includes a bar, hot tub, and an outside pool. Additionally, it contains a guest house, gym, games room, library, cinema room, and chicken coop in the garden.

The Sussex’s home is nine minutes away by car from the 13,599 square foot, six-bedroom Montecito estate mansion, which was apparently featured in some of the Netflix documentary series.

The luxurious home, which was constructed in 2006, exudes a regal vibe thanks to its chandeliers and arched windows.

The Sussexes' first home in America

After leaving the royal family, the couple relocated to the rich town of Santa Barbara on the outskirts of Los Angeles in 2020, rather than the mansion in Montecito, California. There, Harry and Meghan purchased their own $14.7 million (£12.1 million) property.

According to the Mirror, the residence is very different from the duke's former Kensington Palace apartment or Frogmore Cottage, where the pair moved after getting married in 2018.

Meghan claimed that living in the opulent house in the Santa Barbara gated neighborhood made her 'feel free' and is 'calm and healing.'

In addition to a tennis court, tea house, and two-bedroom guest house, it includes nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. Additionally, there is a pool, a pool house, and two linked palm palms at the bottom.

While the pair is still renovating, the duchess' 40th birthday film and other widely seen footage have shown parts of the interiors.
