Having co-starred as husband and wife in a multitude of movies, Kirsten Dunst and longtime boyfriend Jesse Plemons brought that romance to reality as they finally tied the knot. The Hollywood couple has been together for six years, sharing two children.

According to Page Six, the pair said 'I do' last weekend in Jamaica at the luxury GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios, a boutique, tropical island gateway famous for inspiring creativity. The stunning 52-acre venue was named after one of James Bond creator Ian Fleming’s World War II missions, the Golden Eye Operation.

Dunst's representative tells the outlet:

'I can just confirm they got married. No other details will be given.'

Prior to tying the knot, the Spider-Man star and her boyfriend have been together for six years, sharing two children. As the newlywed couple is enjoying their married life, let's revisit their relationship timeline and their plans for the future.

Kirsten and Jesse were meant for each other

Before settling down with Jesse Plemons, Kirsten Dunst was known to have several romantic relationships with A-list Hollywood celebrities such as Jason Boesel, Jake Gyllenhaal, Garrett Hedlund, and Johnny Borrell.

According to Skynews, the The Power of the Dogs costars began dating in 2016 after meeting on the filming set of the FX series Fargo's season 2, in which Dunst and Plemons portrayed the characters of Peggy and Ed Blumquist. In an interview with The New York Times, the couple shared their first impression of each other, with Dunst saying:

'He (Jesse Plemons) works so hard at what he does. He takes everything very seriously and embeds himself very deeply. We kind of fell in love creatively first and fell in love as actors. We got together after [Fargo] ... I just knew he was awesome and that we were about to work together.'

Meanwhile, the Breaking Bad alum said he fell head over heels for Kirsten on their very first meeting, knowing that 'she would be in my life for a long time'.

In 2017, news of their engagement surfaced as Kirsten Dunst was photographed at the Golden Globes while wearing an engagement ring. In December that year, US Magazine broke the news, writing that the actress was pregnant with their first child. She gave birth to their baby boy Ennis Howard Plemons on May 3, 2018. In June 2021, Dunst was spotted holding a baby carrier in photographs shared by the Daily Mail, confirming the pair had secretly welcomed their second child.

In February, the Marie Antoinette actress told the LA Times that although she and Plemons 'call each other husband and wife', they had no plan for any wedding at the time. The actress said:

'We have to get married at this point,” Dunst said. “It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding. I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party, and not be able to have fun with everybody.'

They will continue to co-star in upcoming projects

Earlier this year, Dunst and Plemons received an Oscar nomination for their performance in Netflix's critically acclaimed The Power of the Dog. In the psychological drama film, Dunst and Plemons once again played newlyweds. Additionally, they have also appeared together on episodes of Black Mirror and Drunk History, in which Dunst played Agatha Christie, as well as the Netflix movie Windfall. Speaking of their co-starring in various productions, Plemons told PEOPLE in December:

'I don't wanna do another project without [Kirsten]. It's just the best. We fell in love creatively first on Fargo, just immediately trusted each other. I'm constantly amazed by what she brings. She just operates from such a deep place in her soul.'

Dunst also shared that her husband was her 'favorite actor to work with'.

Dunst will subsequently be starring in Alex Garland's epic action film Civil War, while Plemons is set to star in the much-anticipated crime film Killers Of The Flower Moon alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
