The British Royal Family will be hosting the first Christmas without Queen Elizabeth II's presence, but the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes will likely be missing.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry won't be spending Christmas with the Royal Family, experts indicate. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to decline King Charles' offer to Sandringham for the Royal Family's first Christmas without the late Queen.

For their first Christmas without the late Queen, the Royal Family will continue to enjoy the holidays at the King's official palace in Norfolk.

However, given the deteriorating state of the relationship, it appears the Sussexes won't be there, reports the Mirror.

Historian Angela Levin told The Sun:

'The Queen’s death means that there won’t be as much pressure to have all of the family together which is good because it seems Harry and Meghan won’t be present’.

She added that the Prince and Princess of Wales 'will be there':

‘I’m sure Catherine and William will be there by the King and Queen’s side for part of the holiday'.

She also explained that Harry and Meghan's absence may be 'a huge relief for the rest':

'Harry and Meghan aren't coming which I think will be a huge relief for the rest of the family.'

According to Ms. Levin, the major reason the Sussexes won't be visiting Sandringham is because of how their Netflix documentaries could be received.

According to reports from the Times, Harry and Meghan will be shown discussing various royal relatives, including the King, the Queen Consort, and William, in the program, which is scheduled for publication right before Christmas.

The pair allegedly requested that the £88 million production be postponed until after Christmas.

Harry worked ‘very, very hard to get it out’ for after the vacation, according to Ms Levin, who found it 'very interesting' that they even attempted.

She also said that the Sussexes may 'attack the monarchy again':

‘It makes me feel that they could very well attack the monarchy again and be very nasty about the King despite the fact that he lost his mother.’

The biographer continued by saying that Harry and Meghan are in charge of deciding what to teach their children about Harry's ancestry. Although Archie and Lilibet ‘want titles’, they do not want them to associate ‘with the very people who can give them to them.’

Prince Harry's bombshell memoir

Last month, insiders provided the Mirror with brand-new facts from Harry's bombshell memoir, which also seem to indicate that he won't be spending Christmas with the royal family.

According to Metro, prior to the book's international release on January 10, they claimed that ties are ‘near rock bottom’ and that the Duke of Sussex will decline the King's invitation.

The book, which is titled Spare, has already sent shockwaves across the royal family with its 'unflinching honesty'.
