Veteran TV presenter Trisha Goddard has revealed she has tied the knot with her long-term partner in a 'magical' ceremony in the US - which marks her fourth marriage.
Born on December 23, 1957, Trisha Goddard, whose real name is Patricia Gloria Goddard, rose to prominence with her morning talk show Trisha, which publicly aired on ITV and Channel 5 from 1998 to 2010. During a career spanning nearly three decades, Trisha has fronted several other prominent TV shows including The Wright Stuff, You Are What You Eat, and another titular show named The Trisha Goddard Show. In the 1990s and early 2002, the British host became one of the nation's household names thanks to her humor.
Aside from her long career, Trisha was also famous for her love life. She has been married and divorced three-time before settling down for the fourth time with her boyfriend recently.
Trisha's husband's identity remains unknown
According to Metro, the former chat show queen has revealed that she has married her mystery boyfriend, which marks her fourth marriage so far.
On Monday, Trisha posted a picture of two mugs reading 'Mr #Boo' and 'Mrs #Boo', implying her engagement with her boyfriend of 4 years. In the caption, the 64-year-old told her followers that the wedding, which took place on Sunday 28 August, was the most 'magical, loving day' in her life.
Many congratulatory messages have been paid to the couple via the comments section.
Fashion designer Scott Henshall wrote: 'Congratulations darling.'
Presenter Emma Forbes said: 'Yay!! Huge huge congrats xxxx.'
And Chris Bath added: 'Wooohoooo!!! Congratulations lovebirds.'
Earlier this year, Trisha revealed her boyfriend proposed to her during a romantic trip they went on together. He popped the question when they took a snack during their New year walk.
The TV star could not hide her utter happiness and excitedly showed off her engagement ring on a video, set to the soundtrack of Ce Ce Peniston's track Finally, and told fans:
'So mid-hike, I thought #boo was breaking out the usual snack of almonds or mandarins or bottles of water…Ummm… Man broke out #jewelz, It g'wan be Mrs @boo well soon… Been together 4 years… He makes me laugh, looks after me, is a kid with me …'
Trisha went on to reveal that her partner is someone who ‘truly meant so much’ to her. Despite being a celebrity, the former host has tried to keep her relationship as low-key as possible by keeping the identity of her fiancé under wraps. As we know so far, this man is four years older than her and they met through a US friend.
Trisha's recent health update
Her wedding news came after she had been hospitalized for weeks following a severe femur break that seriously put her life in jeopardy. She was in ‘roaring pain’ when she received doctors’ treatment and now had to rely on a walking frame and sticks following emergency surgery. Even though she was discharged from the hospital at the end of July, Trisha's health is still of great concern.
Taking to Instagram last week, the former host shared her horrific injury with her fans and noted that she had undergone ‘2 toughest weeks’ in her life, detailing her terrifying ordeal that happened because of a careless stair fall. She wrote:
'It’s now almost a month since I got out of hospital after the emergency half hip replacement I needed after that traumatic fall downstairs (& being trapped there for over 3 hours).'
Trisha emotionally added that she is doing everything to recover:
'I’m really pushing myself, but to be honest the physical part is the easiest. I’m used to weight training, running or power walking or ice skating every day and physical fitness is my usual try’an look after my mental health thing.'
