Lineker and Gabby Logan will both present the event, and BBC Radio 5 Live will be hosted by Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates.

Wright, who formerly worked for the BBC during key tournaments, has been a prominent figure in ITV's recent coverage of the England men's and women's teams. Wright represented England on 33 occasions but never in a major competition.

Gary Neville (ITV)

To complement ITV's coverage of the four-week event, Neville will temporarily switch roles with Sky.

The former fullback has drawn criticism for serving as a commentator for the state-owned beIN Sports channel in Qatar, but Neville has stated he would use his appearances there to draw attention to a variety of problems there.

Neville represented England in the 1998 and 2006 World Cups, although he was unable to compete in that year's tournament due to a fractured foot.

Roy Keane (ITV)

One of the pillars of ITV's coverage in Qatar will be the combustible former Manchester United hardman.

At the 1994 World Cup in the USA, Keane appeared in every game for Ireland, including the historic 1-0 triumph over tournament favorites and eventual runners-up Italy.
