She has also appeared 140 times for the England national team. After an exceptional career in football, Scott directed the accumulated knowledge and skill-sets into presenting in sports. She has presented for the BBC's Final Score as well as on Sky Goals, becoming the first female pundit in 2018 for Sky Sports after the Summer 2018 World Cup, reports The Sun.
In 2011, she started the Alex Scott Academy which focuses on training female footballers from the age of 16 to 19. In 2016, Scott appeared on Bear Grylls' Mission Survive and won the show that year.
Qatar World Cup controversy
There have been some controversies surrounding the hosting of the World Cup in Qatar, particularly in terms of LGBTQ+ representation as Qatar is a country that deems homosexuality illegal, reports BBC.
As a result of that, Scott is known to be an ardent ally of the LGBTQ+ movement, and she was criticized for covering the World Cup in Qatar. The broadcaster Sophie Corcoran noted that Alex did a '180 degree turn' by choosing to cover the World Cup.

Not too long ago Alex Scott was trying to accuse the England women's team of structural racism and downplayed their victory due to there being too many white players. Now she's in Qatar - a country where gays, women and migrants have no rights. Talk about doing a 180.
However, Scott retorted through a Tweet:

Furthermore, The Daily Mail's Oliver Holt praised Scott, noting that:

Scott's net worth
Although her exact net worth is unknown, according to Birmingham Live, it is estimated to be between £800,000 and £4 million. In 2019, Goal.com reported that although her exact earnings are not reported, through BBC and Sky Sports she earns between £410,000 and £420,000.
Even though the estimates vary depending on the particular source, it is not surprising that Scott would be earning this much through her regular appearances on BBC and Sky Sports, in addition to having a phenomenal career as a footballer.
