Helen Skelton addresses dating life following ex Richie Myler's baby arrival

Helen Skelton, a British television presenter and journalist, has recently revealed her best answer to the 'boyfriend' question that she used to get asked all the time while presenting the popular children's program, Blue Peter.

Despite her recent split with ex-husband Richie Myler, who welcomed a baby with his new partner earlier this month, Helen does not seem to be in any hurry to enter a new relationship.

Helen's independent spirit

In a recent interview with Grazia magazine, Helen Skelton shared that being in a relationship has never been her only priority. She has always been an independent spirit who loves to travel and explore the world. She explained:

'I was travelling all around the world, and seeing and doing incredible things. And whenever I came home and caught up with people, all they would ask is, 'have you got a boyfriend?'

And whenever she came home and caught up with people, all they would ask is if she had a boyfriend. Helen's response to this question was brilliant. She would say:

'No, but I've got a few world records.'

Whom was Helen Skelton married to?

According to the Daily Star, Helen Skelton was married to rugby player Richie Myler for eight years, and the couple has three children together, a daughter named Elsie, and sons Ernie and Louis. However, last year, the couple announced their split, five months after welcoming their third child.

While they did not give any reason for their breakup at the time, it was later revealed that Richie was dating Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of Rhinos president Andrew. Recently, Stephanie gave birth to the couple's child, which has raised speculation about Helen's feelings on the matter. However, Helen has chosen not to comment on Richie's new relationship or address speculation on who she might be dating.

Last week, Helen gave her followers a sweet glimpse into her family life as she attended a bingo event with friends. On the way home, little tot Elsie could be seen heading through an iron gate in a serene spring field where plenty of daffodils were growing in the corner.

Helen's Strictly Come Dancing days

Helen Skelton presented Blue Peter between 2008 and 2013 and then went on to participate in the popular dance show Strictly Come Dancing. The former Appleby Grammar School has since gone on to present Countryfile, Holiday Hit Squad, Lorraine, Big Week at the Zoo and Friday on the Farm, reports Lancs.live.

During her time on Strictly, Helen was linked to her dance partner Vito Coppola, with whom she was said to have bonded on the tour bus as it traveled between cities around the UK. A source told the Mirror:

'Helen and Vito were good friends during Strictly, but really bonded on tour. There were two buses for the cast – the party bus and the quiet bus.'

They added:

'They spent a lot of time chatting on the quiet bus and getting to know each other. They have a lot in common – a love of the outdoors, for example. Between shows they also spent time together one-on-one, like going for coffee, just the two of them.'

However, despite their friendship, they both chose to keep their relationship under wraps, and if anyone pulled out a phone and started filming, Helen would move away from Vito. The source said:

'If anyone pulled out a phone and started filming, Helen would move away from Vito. She didn’t want to be captured in the background.'
