Love Island fans have been blown away at what season eight winner Davide Sanclimenti does for a living and his rumored financial status.

Love Island 2022 has finally come to an end after Italian stallion Davide Sanclimenti and his partner, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, were crowned champion. The pair, whose relationship in the Majorcan villa had been full of rough patches, walked away from the show with the £50,000 cash prize after beating fans' favorite Gemma and Luca (runner-up), Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope (third place), Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page (third place). After host Laura Whitmore announced the awaited result, Ekin-Su and Sanclimenti held each other and their fellow finalists to celebrate the feat.

According to Hello!, Sanclimenti entered the villa as a bombshell contestant and initially began a romance with Gemma Owen - daughter of famous footballer Michael Owen. However, as Gemma later left for Luca Bish, Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su began their romance. Despite many setbacks in the Casa Amor challenge, in which Sanclimenti was seen kissing both Mollie Salmon and Coco Lodge, their relationship has been going from strength to strength since.

After winning the show, Ekin-Su, a 27-year-old actress from Essex, and Sanclimenti addressed the victory for the first time on Monday. The couple shared a video on the ITV2 series’ official Twitter page, captioning: 'A message from your #LoveIsland 2022 winners Ekin-Su and Davide to everyone who loved watching them this summer.'

In the video, Ekin-Su said:

'Thank you everyone for voting for us and thank you for making us who we are. I think everyone’s winners in here, and I just feel really lucky to be here.'

Davide gasped in disbelief: 'I didn’t expect it – I still don’t believe it.'

At the end of the 30-second long clip, Davide says: ‘Grazie a tutti for voting us!’

Congratulations quickly flooded in for the couple. Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp commented: ‘Yes!!!’ under Ekin-Su’s Instagram photo of her and Davide smiling.

Meanwhile, Love Island 2019 winner Amber Gill wrote playfully: ‘MOM & DAD,’ complete with some emojis.

Sanclimenti is a wealthy entrepreneur

Much to the fans' delight, it is revealed that Davide Sanclimenti runs a profitable business that provides high-end electronic hookah products to restaurants and nightclubs. According to the Dailymail, the Italian businessman, who had been intensely private about his occupation throughout the show, owns a company named S Deluxe Shisha that has been in operation since May 2021.

The company website's mission statement reads:

'S Deluxe Shisha is a premium service offered in some of the most exclusive hospitality venues located in North West, England. We have partnership with the most exclusive restaurants and nightclubs around the UK, carrying a wide selection of top quality hookah products in different shapes and sizes.'

The company, which was founded in Manchester, offers 'highest quality' of luxury electronic shisha and the 'purest French-made e-liquids', claiming to use the latest technology on the market for production. Since his occupation came to light, Sanclimenti has been rumored to be a self-made millionaire with a huge fortune.

Many fans took to Twitter to say how surprised they are at Sanclimenti's real job, which can give him much more than the prize money from Love Island.

One wrote: 'I just learnt that Davide is an entrepreneur owning a shisha business. This guy was always meant to have a Turkish wife. I’m convinced they’re soulmates. I can’t get over them two!! #EKINDE'.

Another tweeted: 'Out of all things I expected Davide to do for a living ….. I did not expect him to own a shisha lounge on the curry mile.'

Sanclimenti also holds a masters degree in finance and banking, according to his LinkedIn.
