Charlene Lynette Wittstock, Princess of Monaco has made an appearance alongside Prince Albert at U Cavagnetu, a traditional picnic that's maintained annually in Monaco. The Daily Mail notes that this is the first public appearance that the Princess has made in 18 months, and throughout that period there was quite a lot of public scrutiny on why she chose to keep herself away from the media.

A radiant re-entry into the public eye

Hello! Magazine mentions that the outfit worn by the Princess came from a label that she fancies, Terrence Bray. Wearing a white lace top with wide-leg trousers in the same color, Princess Charlene maintains a very peaceful shade of white with her outfit.

In addition to the attire, her pixie-cut hairstyle with the platinum sheen gave the ideal finishing touch to the outfit. For the make-up choice, the 44-year-old opted for a minimalistic approach that highlighted her natural features.

Prince Albert on the other hand chose a more casual approach with a white shirt and a blue-grey blazer and tan trousers.

The Royal Twins

People Magazine recently reported that Princess Gabriella gave herself and her twin brother, Prince Jacques haircuts in anticipation of returning to school.

The two children of the Prince and Princess of Monaco wore matching outfits. Princess Gabriella wore a floral frock with cerulean and aquamarine colors and a pink headband with flowers, and Prince Jacques maintained the same color tones but with a white shirt and horizon blue trousers.

Where was Princess Charlene for 18 months?

According to The Daily Mail, the Princess had spent 10 months in South Africa following a sinus infection for which she had subsequently gotten surgery done. Throughout the period of the ailment, Prince Albert noted that the Princess was feeling 'exhausted', although no details were given on what exactly she was suffering from.

Supposed family troubles

The absence of Princess Charlene from the public gave way to countless rumors that were maintained by news publications, particularly focusing on issues between the Princess and Prince that may have had that facilitated the absence.

Although unconfirmed, The Daily Mail reported about the French publication Voici which stated that the Princess may have had Prince Albert sign an ultra-confidential contract that would facilitate her with compensation for making public appearances, with the amount being £10.2 million a year.

The Royal Family in Monte Carlo does not receive monetary compensation. While Prince Albert is a billionaire, The Daily Mail notes that Princess Charlene simply wishes to secure her source of income. Prince Albert responded to these rumors by stating that he was 'hurt by the vicious rumors.'

Although there are fringes that one can mull over, the appearance at the traditional annual event establishes the fact the Royal Family is committed to maintaining their public appearances. Furthermore, the 18-month absence of Princess Charlene is assured by the Royal family to be due to medical reasons.
