After 2021 shows were inevitably disrupted because of the pandemic, which suspended or delayed much filming, life seems now to be getting back a little more to normal. From September 2021, you should be able to watch the new seasons of your favourite American series. Like “Grey's Anatomy”, for example, which has been renewed for season 18 despite the concern of fans and heroine Ellen Pompeo about the future of the show. Other American medical series, like “Good Doctor”, which has just lost one of its stars, or “New Amsterdam”, which is inspired by a true story, will also be back.
When will the new seasons of “NCIS”, “Grey's Anatomy” or “New Amsterdam” air?
Télé-Loisirs brings you a calendar of American series for autumn-winter 2021. As with the list of cancelled or renewed series, or the release dates for Netflix series, this calendar will be updated as the US channels make announcements. CW, which broadcasts “The Flash” and “Riverdale” in the United States, is the first to have announced its series' dates. Both dramas will kick off with “five special event episodes” on 6 November, before going on winter break.
In early July, the channel CBS also announced its series' dates, among which are season 19 of “NCIS”, season 13 of “NCIS: Los Angeles” and the brand-new spin-off of the franchise in Hawaii. The next day, ABC also made its announcements, revealing the date of the season 18 of “Grey's Anatomy” for example, just like NBC which announced the launch of “The Blacklist” and “New York, special unit”. On the other hand, fans of “This is Us” will have to be very patient, as season 6, which will mark the farewell to the Pearson family, will not be scheduled before 2022.
