Emily Ratajkowski and her husband Sebastian Bear-McClard have reportedly gone separate ways after four years of marriage amid cheating claims.
According to The Cut, Emily Ratajkowski has split from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard after four years of marriage. A host of US media outlets including Page Six and PEOPLE have reported the breakup.
Page Six writes that the pair have been planning to divorce for a while amid Bear-McClard's infidelity claims. A source told the outlet that Bear-McClard is 'a serial cheater' and that it was Emily who made the decision to call it quits. The source said:
'They split recently. It was Em's decision. She is doing okay. She is strong and focused on her son. She loves being a mom.'
There is currently no court paperwork about Emily's divorce, however. Neither the stars nor their reps have publicly commented on the news.
Ratajkowski hasn't been wearing her wedding ring
The Dailymail writes that rumors of a potential split sparked after Ratajkowski was spotted on a walk carrying her son without her wedding ring on Thursday in New York. Weeks before that, Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard sold their $2,45 million three-bedroom home on Valentine Street in Los Angeles. The couple bought the property for $2 million in May 2018, shortly after their marriage.
The Gone Girl actress hasn't posted any photo of Bear-McClard since May 27 last year, sharing two photos of her straddling her husband in the park. Back in February, the model marked their four-year anniversary on Instagram with various throwback photos but did not post any public Father’s Day wishes to her husband last month. The last time Ratajkowski and her husband were spotted together was back in mid-June when they went on vacation in Italy.
Meanwhile, Bear-McClard is reportedly still wearing his wedding ring when he was spotted outside Cafe Cluny - a hot spot for celebrities, in New York City on Wednesday.
The couple shares a 16-month-old son
Sebastian Bear-McClard, 41, is a film producer best known for films including the critically acclaimed thriller Uncut Gems and the Robert Pattinson-starring film Good Time. Meanwhile, Ratajkowski was catapulted into the limelight after she appeared naked in the music video for 2013 chart-topper Blurred Lines. Following her rise to stardom, Ratajkowski continued to be cast in various films such as Gone Girl, We Are Your Friends and I Feel Pretty.
According to the Dailymail, Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard started dating on Valentine's Day in 2018 after years of being friends. Just a few weeks later, Ratajkowski announced on Instagram that they had walked down the aisle in a civil ceremony in New York’s City Hall. The Inamorata founder took to Instagram to share some photos of her wedding, including one where the film producer could be seen kissing her cheek. She captioned the post: 'Soooo I have a surprise. I got married today.'
Their surprise marriage initially met with critics who said Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard's romance was just a whirlwind one. The Welcome Home star then hit back at critics, telling Marie Claire:
'No one can take women seriously on any choices that they make, especially if they're unique to them and they don't play into the way we think women should get married. It's a constant writing-off.'
Less than two weeks from their low-key wedding, Ratajkowski and Bear-McClard made their first red carpet debut, attending the 2018 Film Independent Spirit Awards together.
In 2020, the former couple announced they were expecting their first child. On March 8, 2021, Ratajkowski gave birth to their son, Sylvester Apollo Bear. Ratajkowski described the arrival of her baby as 'the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life'.
