Princess Beatrice created a buzz as fans went wild when the royal was spotted alongside her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at Glastonbury Festival 2022. However, the Princess's time at the festival was blemished by an unexpected incident.

Born on August 8, 1988, Princess Beatrice is the first daughter of Sarah, the Duchess of York, and Prince Andrew. She's famous for her maturity, which helps her stay under the radar and avoid press interference. However, that prudence only makes the Princess a sought-after target of the media frenzy.

Recently, Princess Beatrice was spotted with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi as the couple joined the music festival at Glastonbury on Sunday, just hours after attending a lavish party in London the night before.

Princess Beatrice was relaxed in a casual wear

According to Mirror, Princess Beatrice cut an unusually casual outfit at the festival, wearing a khaki green dress from designer Zimmerman, a pair of white trainers styled up with some sunglasses, and a fashionable crossbody bag. Her husband, Edoardo, rocked a black shirt with casual jeans and a pair of trainers. The usually low-key royal couple was reported to hold hands while walking the grounds of the event.

This appearance of Princess Beatrice was a complete switch from the night before when she attended The Alchemist’s Feast, a fundraiser for London’s National Gallery. For the occasion, the Princess was elegantly dressed in a pale green sequined Markarian gown, which cost around $3500, and some stunning jewellery. Her husband Edoardo wore a classic tuxedo for the event. Edoardo has a son, Wolfie, from a previous relationship with whom Beatrice has a great relationship. Despite Wolfie's mother being American, the young boy attends a British school due to fears about school shootings in the US.

Although they are known as a low-key couple, recent months have witnessed the emergence of Princess Beatrice and her husband as they accompanied each other in several events. According to Page Six, the Princess has lately attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, the Platinum Jubilee, and the Royal Ascot. An account tweeted about the change in the Princess' higher profile recently:

'Since Princess Beatrice found her Italian Count, she has been radiant. Completely new Princess, absolutely lovely.'

Glastonbury has been the Royal Family's favorite place

Mirror reports that Princess Beatrice and her husband are not the only royals ever having a whale of a good time at the festival. Over the years, Princess Eugenie, Prince Harry, and even Prince Charles have been regular guests at Glastonbury.

The 2022 festival marks the grand return of the famed Glastonbury after two consecutive cancellations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, three headlining acts were Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Paul McCartney. The former Beatles star, now in his 80s, made history as the oldest solo headliner that Glastonbury ever boasts. This is his second time returning to the Pyramid stage after the first in 2004. Fans went wild as McCartney performed a selection of classic hits throughout his glorious career, including Hey Jude, Blackbird, Live And Let Die, Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, and Get Back.

The much-anticipated event was star-studded, with the appearance of many A-list stars such as former One Direction star, Louis Tomlinson, and Love Island host Laura Whitmore.

Princess Beatrice was humiliated

According to The Daily Star, Princess Beatrice's time at the festival was blemished by an unexpected incident. As she stopped at the Michelin-starred Pony Bistro at Glastonbury for some food, the Princess was embarrassed to find her card declined for payment not once, but three times. A source told The Daily Star:

'She tried to pay by card but it got declined three times.'
