Julian Sands, the iconic English actor has passed away after being missing for months, here's the tragic story of his disappearance.

The English actor Julian Sands, who is prominently known for his role as George Emerson in the Oscar-winning movie ‘A Room With A View’ has unfortunately passed away.

The Naked Lunch actor was on a hike in the United States of America when the tragedy of his death occurred. Julian, who was on a hike in California’s San Gabriel Mountains, was reported missing months before his body was found. The actor was reported missing as of 13th January, on a particularly bad weather day in the Baldy Bowl area of the expansive mountains.

The latest update on the case is that some walkers found the human remains of the late actor, and it has indeed been formally identified to be him. Fans from throughout the world are shocked.

The investigation into Sands’ disappearance

Unfortunately, due to harsh weather conditions at the time, air and ground searches in California were hampered, as there was also an alert for storms and avalanches. But still, there was a search party and committee consisting of volunteers who were on a quest to find the actor. But alas, the team has closure now that the human remains of Julian Sands have been positively identified by the officials involved.

As per BBC, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said the following about the investigation and death of the iconic actor:

“The manner of death is still under investigation, pending further test results.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the volunteers that worked tirelessly to try to locate Mr Sands," they said in a statement.”

Julian Sands was a father to three children and while this news came as a shock to them, his disappearance since January finally has a conclusion. As per BBC, his family said:

“We are deeply grateful to the search teams and coordinators who have worked tirelessly to find Julian,"
