Gerard Pique and his new flame recently faced humiliation after the couple was forced out of a restaurant due to a very embarrassing reason.
Gerard Pique is a famous Spanish footballer who is known for his impressive performance on the field. The former Barcelona star came through the youth system at FC Barcelona but also had a brief stint at Manchester United before returning to his old stomping ground in 2008. He went on to appear over 600 times for the Catalan giants lifting the coveted Champions League on three occasions while also helping his club to lift the La Liga eight times. Following a decorated career he decided to hang up his boots at the start of 2023.
Aside from his glittering career, he has also made headlines for his personal life, particularly his past romance with Shakira and their subsequent breakup.
Pique and Shakira's Relationship
Gerard Pique and Shakira's relationship started in 2010 when the Colombian singer was shooting the official World Cup song, Waka Waka. The couple was known for being relatively quiet about their personal lives, but they did make occasional public appearances together. They also welcomed two sons during their 12-year relationship.
In June 2022, Pique and Shakira announced that they had called it quits. At the time, Spanish media reported that Pique had been unfaithful to Shakira, which was the reason for their breakup. However, in an interview with Elle magazine, Shakira claimed that she was forced to sacrifice her career for the sake of Pique, as well as to be with their children, but that Pique hadn't been willing to do the same for her.
In the aftermath of their breakup, Shakira released a diss track called BZRP Music Session #53. In the song, Shakira called out Pique and his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti.
In another apparent brutal diss at Clara, Shakira says in the song: 'She has a good person’s name, clearly it’s not what it sounds like.'
Shakira also joked that Pique had downgraded from a Ferrari to a Renault Twingo and a Rolex to a Casio.
Who is Pique's new girlfriend?
Despite the controversy surrounding his breakup with Shakira, Pique has moved on with his new girlfriend, Clara Chia Marti. According to Harper Bazaar, Clara is a PR student who is employed by Pique's events production company, Kosmos.
The couple allegedly started their romance while Pique was still with Shakira. They made their relationship Instagram-official just weeks after Shakira released her diss track.
In the Instagram post, Pique and his new flame were seen cozying up to each other on the patio of a restaurant. They were both dressed in all-black outfits and flashed the camera a sly smile. The post garnered a lot of attention, particularly because of the controversy surrounding Pique's breakup with Shakira.
Why were the couple forced to leave a restaurant?
According to Marca, Pique and Marti faced fresh humiliation after they were reportedly kicked out of a restaurant by the owner, who was a fan of Shakira.

In a viral video, Pique and Marti could be seen leaving the restaurant with Marti's visibly disappointed expressions. According to the Dailystar, the owner of the eatery was a die-hard fan of Shakira and asked Pique and Marti to leave the restaurant after refusing to serve them.
The outlet claimed that Marti was very upset while leaving the eatery. This incident is the second embarrassing incident for Marti following Shakira's diss track.
