Besides being a singer, author, and television star, Coleen Nolan is also now a doting grandmother. The Irish-born TV personality has yet another feather on her cap, after her iconic ITV show - Loose Women. Despite being only 58 years of age, Coleen Nolan is ecstatic to welcome the little one and embrace grandmotherhood. Here’s everything you need to know about the ‘Loose Women’ panelist's newest addition to her family, and what she has to say about her new role as a family member.

The newest addition to Coleen Nolan’s family

From recently fighting skin cancer to welcoming a new baby into her family, Coleen’s life has been busy the past year. Coleen, who is a mother of three, welcomed the littlest addition to her family, her grandniece. And she is completely in awe of the little one when she revealed some adorable pictures of her grandniece on her Instagram account.

With a whole set of candid photos of the baby, Coleen’s pictures really put a smile on everyone’s face. She captioned the picture saying:

"Thank you to my beautiful nephew for Danny and @maddison_hoyle_25 for my beautiful grandniece."

This addition to her big family is great news for the singer, as she battles her recent cancer diagnosis. It surely looks like the new baby keeps her spirit high at these trying times.

Coleen Nolan’s battle with cancer

The ‘Loose Women’ star recently revealed her health diagnosis with basal cell carcinoma on her shoulder and melanoma on her face. As per Hello! Magazine, she revealed the following in conversation with other panelists:

"I found this tiny bit of skin that was on my shoulder and it was quite red. I was putting oil on it and moisturiser on it but it just wouldn't go”

Following this, she said that she got it checked out by a dermatologist, who gave her the actual diagnosis. She was prescribed chemotherapy creams, and if upon its failure, she was advised to do skin grafting. Soon, after using the cream for weeks, at a doctor’s appointment, she was diagnosed with melanoma, with two spots on her face that proved it. She said:

“He said, 'If you don't treat them, later on in life that will spread and become skin cancer. I went back in and he was very good and he said, 'Look, it's nothing to worry about. It is actually a cancer that doesn't necessarily spread, but you do need to treat it, and we'll try it with cream and then the chemo cream and then if that doesn't work, we'll cut it out and give you a skin graft,"

Coleen also highly encouraged her viewers not to sit on any ailments and go get any kind of skin abnormality checked out, be it bleeding, itching, or discoloration.

Fans support Coleen Nolan

As soon as Coleen announced her health condition and recent diagnosis, fans, and well-wishers have been flooding her with messages of love and support. And sadly, the Nolan family isn’t new to cancer. Being famous siblings, the Nolan clan has been very open about their personal lives, and she is the fourth of her siblings to have been afflicted with the deadly disease that is cancer.

She, in fact, lost her sister Bernie Nolan to breast cancer in 2013, so cancer is definitely a touchy subject to Coleen. As per Woman and Home, she said the following:

"I'm sick of cancer and also, my first instinct was, I'm not telling anybody in my family because this that I've got at the moment seems nothing compared to what my sisters have been through, And... what Linda is going through, where it has gone to her brain and she's having chemo."
