Harry Styles is a name that's known worldwide, and the singer has established such a presence in the music world, first through One Direction and then with a meteoric solo career, it is not surprising to see the monolithic fan following the singer maintains.
With such levels of fame comes a certain level of wealth as well, and in terms of a property portfolio, what has the singer established in that avenue?
A London bachelor pad
US Magazine reports that the 'Watermelon Sugar' singer entered the limelight in 2010 when he auditioned for X Factor UK, and through Simon Cowell's efforts he was paired together with the contestants Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayne Malik under the band name One Direction, and the rest was history from that moment.
One Direction placed third in the competition, and after that, they chose to rent out a bachelor pad in North London. It was a luxurious five-floor unit that was once an asylum. The place had spacious bedrooms, a gym, tennis courts, and around-the-clock security as well.
This was at the very beginning of their fame, and although rented, it gave way to the idea of what was possible once their fame reached the next level.
First home
According to Love Property, the singer officially bought his first home in 2012, a year after the first One Direction full-length album Up All Night. HELLO! Magazine reports that the house located in the Hampstead Heath area of North London cost the singer £3.2 million.
The general area of the property spans 2,300 square feet and features four luxurious bedrooms and three bathrooms. Later in 2019, Harry bought a 5 BHK home in Hampstead Heath for £8 million which was right across from his initial house. This property features private parking and extensive space for entertainment purposes.
In 2020, the singer made a third purchase in the area and it was an 18th-century-style villa that cost him another £8 million. It is rumored that Harry is intending to combine all three properties into a massive mansion, which was how it was structured before the singer made the first purchase.
A glamorous abode in Beverly Hills
Love Property further reports that Harry made his second purchase in 2014 in Beverly Hills, California, following the release of the concert film One Direction: Where We Are. The celebrity-centered location reportedly cost the star £3.5 million. The house featured a courtyard that included a swimming pool, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a scenic hillside view.
He later sold the house in 2016 to a husband and wife who specialize in renovating and re-selling properties, and following an extensive remodeling, the luxury real estate news website DIRT notes that the house was re-sold to the singer Lizzo for £13 million.
The extravagant Los Angeles home
The New York Post reports that Harry bought his third home in 2016, located in Los Angeles, California. The four-bedroom and six-bathroom bachelor pad cost the star £6 million. It's a luxurious house that is hidden away from the hustle and bustle and fits the demeanor of the star's approach toward maintaining privacy.
The house truly reflected the bombastic style of the singer as well as the success he developed following his solo career venture in 2015. Sitting on an impressive 4,400 square feet, the house featured a breathtaking view of Los Angeles from atop a hill and included a large balcony, a home theater, a gourmet kitchen, a private gym, and a swimming pool.
The singer listed the property for sale in 2017 for £7.3 million, but only sold it in 2019 for £5.2 million, which was a smaller selling price compared to the point of purchase. The house was once again listed this month for £6.9 million.
The Big Apple celebrity hotspot
By 2017, Harry's solo career was taking shape in a very powerful way, and this led to the purchase of a prestigious penthouse in the Tribeca neighborhood, New York, for a reported £7.3 million. Love Property reports that many celebrities such as Justin Timberlake, Blake Lively, and Ryan Reynolds live in this particular area.
The factory-turned-luxury apartment building is clearly targeted at the rich and famous, and Harry's abode features 3,000 square feet of space with three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. It also includes a private entrance lift and carries the style of open-plan living space that quite a lot of New York apartments maintain.
Within the complex, the amenities include a 71-foot swimming pool, Turkish bath, fitness center, and an extensively large terrace in addition to a courtyard.
Where is Harry living now?
In 2021, Page Six reported that Harry Styles was dating the actor and director, Olivia Wilde, as they were pictured holding hands. At the time, Harry was renting an LA house, and later Wilde was pictured moving her luggage to the house from the house of her ex-fiancée, Jason Sudeikis.
The couple have since moved from that location, and stay in another house in the Los Angeles suburbs, which includes five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The New York Post further reports that the star is paying £8600 a month to rent the spot, which includes a backyard with a pool, an outdoor bar and dining space, and spacious bedrooms.
The singer reportedly splits his time between the Hampstead properties and the LA property alongside Wilde and her kids, reports Love Property.
