James Jordan has had a difficult week, with his daughter becoming seriously unwell. Luckily, his daughter is feeling much better now. Here's what he said.
Strictly Come Dancing’s James Jordan is going through somewhat of a personal life crisis at the moment. The famous ballroom dancer and choreographer is also a public media figure, who frequently updates the world about his life.
Professionally, the dancer has achieved a lot, from coming in third on Celebrity Big Brother to emerging victorious in Dancing on Ice, he has done it all. His personal life is also quite wholesome, given his lovely equation with his wife Ola, and the adorable three-year-old daughter the couple shares. Despite Vanessa Feltz allegedly falling in love with Jordan, he enjoys a very happy family life.
But most recently, Jordan has been going through testing times, with his daughter Ella’s health facing some small hurdles. Here’s what is happening in the Jordan family.\
Ella’s health problem
The cast of Strictly Come Dancing has been facing a ton of personal hurdles. From a certain dancer facing major health issues days before going on stage, to Amy Dowden’s long-drawn battle with cancer, the dancers’ personal lives often creep up on them, during the course of the series.
Most recently, James Jordan was going through a rough phase, with his only daughter Ella becoming unwell, which resulted in the three-year-old being admitted to the hospital. James, who was extremely worried about little Ella, took to his social media to express his state of helplessness as a parent watching their kid suffer. Here’s what he said.
Jordan’s tough phase
Jordan took to Twitter to express a glimpse of what he felt, as his daughter was fighting a nasty illness. Ola and James, first believed that Ella was suffering from pneumonia, but they soon figured out exactly what was wrong with Ella. He said the following.
"We found out later last night that Ella actually had or has got pneumonia, which is what they're currently treating along with the tonsillitis. So it was a bit more concerning than we initially thought.”
“Makes you feel helpless when your children are not well.”
Ella fights her illnesses
Ella, who was admitted to the hospital on December 15th triggered a lot of sadness in her father, as he shared the following about her health online.
“My little warrior! We are still at Pembury Hospital but she has finally turned a corner after five days and long nights of fighting an extremely high temperature.”
Ella, who is a young fighter, had been suffering from a chest infection and tonsillitis. Adding further to her health update, James Jordan said the following, a day later on the 16th of December.
“She’s still on IV antibiotics, but it seems to be working."
He gave his fans yet another update soon after, revealing some good news about Ella’s health.
"Her temperature has been controlled now for nearly 24 hours, which is amazing.
"It's been a long, long five days of no sleep, so I'm really looking forward to hopefully getting a really good night's sleep tonight.”
Ella finally goes home
After a trying couple of days, James Jordan finally announced that his daughter was feeling better, and had been given the green signal for her discharge from the hospital. The discharge coincided with the airing of the finale of Strictly Come Dancing, the show wherein Jordan has made his legacy as a dancer.
Jordan updated his social media following on X regarding his daughter’s health, with a tweet that said the following.
“Finally home from the hospital as a family just in time to catch the last half of Strictly. Ella is on my lap watching.”
He went on to share an Instagram post a couple of hours later, with a snap of Ella looking well. This picture was accompanied by a caption that read.
“Got my baby back.”
