Following the passing of the Queen, reports claim that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been working on a Netflix documentary and a tell-all biography.

A royal expert has revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's alleged desire for 'major edits' to a planned Netflix docuseries 'screams of regret', reports the Mirror.

After leaving their position as working royals, the pair had a multi-million dollar agreement with the streaming giant and is rumored to have produced a documentary about their lives.

Are Harry and Meghan clashing with Netflix?

According to the Mirror, after urging Netflix to 'tone down' the program after the Queen's passing, it was revealed this week that Harry and Meghan is now in conflict with the streaming service. It comes following reports that the couple is attempting to downplay their comments made about King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla, with the couple being critical of the King and Prince William in the past.

If the claims are accurate, they have realized they have 'gone too far', according to royal expert Duncan Larcombe.

He shares to OK! :

‘Their request to make changes to a show that is paying them millions of dollars screams regret on their part, in my opinion. I think Meghan and Harry are looking at the fuses they have lit and wondering how on earth they’ll be able to stop them going off.'

The royal expert said that the Sussexes are 'trying to make a U-turn' and the decision to make changes is 'no longer in their hands':

‘In one respect, it’s an encouraging sign that, since the Queen’s funeral, it seems they’re trying to make a U-turn on what they’ve said and done. Maybe they have reflected on their actions and realised they’ve gone too far. I think the tragedy, however, is that the decision to make the changes is no longer in their hands.’

Netflix won't be making any changes

However, despite the rumored requests for amendments, an insider disclosed that Netflix is still pushing the project forward.

A source told Page Six:

‘Harry and Meghan are panicked about trying to tone down even the most basic language. But it’s their story, from their own mouths.’

While another insider shared to the publication:

‘They’ve made significant requests to walk back content they themselves have provided — to the extent that some Netflix staff believe, if granted, it will effectively shelve the project indefinitely.’

Harry's biography may never be published

The Sussexes' mess with Netflix follows claims made by a different royal authority and author that Harry's future biography 'won't see the light of day' because it will ruin his chances of re-connecting with the royal family.

His bombshell book, which was scheduled to be published before the year was through, might now be delayed until 2023 as a result of the Queen's passing.

According to the Telegraph, The Diana Chronicles, and The Palace Papers author Tina Brown, a royal biographer, does not believe the disputed biography will ever be published. She claims that the Prince is now 'tortured' about his decision:

‘They are now in this bind, where they've taken all this money and Harry has made this book deal where he's supposed to spill everything about his horrible life as a royal, but now he's actually tortured about it because he understands there is no way back if he does it.'

Ms. Brown continues, saying there's no way for Harry to return:

‘If the book continues, I don't think there is any way for Harry to return. So my view has always been that the book won't see the light of day.’

After the Queen passed away and his father Charles was crowned, a source informed the Daily Mail that Harry had 'thrown a spanner in the works' by attempting to make alterations of his own.

‘There may be things in the book which might not look so good if they come out so soon after these events," they said.

‘He wants sections changed now. It's not a total rewrite by any means. He desperately wants to make changes. But it might be too late.’
