Prince Harry will appear on the CBS late-night show with host Stephen Colbert next week to promote his memoir Spare.

After many months of waiting, Prince Harry's much-anticipated memoir, Spare, will officially hit the shelves on January 10. It will be published by Random House, according to the Mirror.

The book, which has been described as a 'landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief', has already leaked online with plenty of untold stories about the British Royal Family.

And in a matter of days, he will appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for a tell-all interview. His appearance on the Peabody Award-winning series on CBS will also mark the release of his debut novel. It will air at 11:35 pm on January 10, right after the 80th annual Golden Globe Awards.

In a teaser for the upcoming interview, host Stephen said:

'Tom Hanks is going to be here on Monday, we call that Hollywood royalty. But then on Tuesday we have actual royalty because Prince Harry is going to be sitting right there to talk about his new book spare.'

The 58-year-old continued:

'It's either a gripping tell-all about the royal family, or a book of handy bowling tips. Tune in to find out.'

According to the Insider, this is Prince Harry's second late-night appearance after a lighthearted appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

It also marks the second time he appears on a CBS show after the infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside Meghan Markle in 2020, during which the Duke revealed shocking truths about his own royal relatives.

However, this is not the first time he shows up on American TV. Ahead of Spare's bombshell release, Prince Harry already had some interviews to promote the book. According to Hello!, the Duke already spoke with Anderson Cooper for 60 Minutes, Tom Bradby for ITV, and Michael Strahan for Good Morning America.

What to expect from Spare?

Just like his Netflix docuseries, Prince Harry's memoir will include a constellation of claims and accusations aimed at various British royals, including his own brother Prince William.

According to excerpts that already leaked online, the Duke claims that William once physically attacked him after a heated row about his future wife, Meghan Markle. There's also a claim that members of the Royal Family judged his son Archie's skin tone before he was even born.

After all these tension, many people believe that Prince Harry is now branded a 'traitor' by the royal family. A source told The Mirror:

'I believe he will never be forgiven. After everything he has said about privacy and intrusion, this is hard to comprehend. I don’t doubt he still loves his father and his brother but it’s impossible to see how he won’t come to bitterly regret his decision to do this.'
