Tom DeLonge, Travis Barker, and Mark Hoppus are reuniting as Blink-182 for the first time since 2015 for a new international tour.

Blink-182, the reigning pop-punk band from San Diego, is getting back together.

What is Blink-182's upcoming song?

According to PEOPLE, Tom DeLonge is rejoining Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus in the band after a seven-year break. The group announced on their website and social media accounts that they will begin a world tour in March 2023 and that they would be releasing a new song.

On Friday, the band released their new song, Edging, as a gift to fans before tickets go on sale on Monday.

According to Loud Wire, Blink-182's international tour will feature openers Turnstile in North America, Rise Against in Australia, The Story So Far in the United Kingdom and Europe, and Wallows in Latin America. With the tour kicking off in March 2023, the band will play 32 performances beginning in May before heading to Europe following a stop in Latin America.

Tickets for the eagerly-awaited tour will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday 17 October at the band's official website.

Blink-182's history

Before returning twice, DeLonge had two breaks from the band. He and Hoppus founded Blink-182 in 1992 before Barker joined as drummer in 1998. They went on to create hit rock/pop songs until the early 2000s, with the new trio’s first album together, Enema of the State, being released in 1999. The band went on hiatus and explored personal projects in 2005 after DeLonge decided to focus on his band Angels & Airwaves.

According to an announcement from Barker and Hoppus, DeLonge left the band ‘indefinitely’ in 2015. After leaving Blink-182, DeLonge formed the band Angels & Airwaves and released his debut solo album in 2015.

Contrary from the claim that DeLonge abandoned Blink-182 to pursue his own project, the guitarist immediately disputed the charges, claiming that he 'never quit the band' and calling the press releases ‘weird’. All of that has changed as a consequence of new advertising photographs showing the three reunited and increased excitement from social media followers declaring that ‘Tom is back’.

Blink-182's individual life

Since the split, the band's lineup has changed several times as the members began their own lives.

Later in his career, Barker explored a solo drum career and had a brief appearance on the reality television series Meet the Barkers, which centered on his family life with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler and their two kids Alabama and Landon. In May, Barker and Kourtney Kardashian tied the knot in a Dolce & Gabbana-laden wedding in Italy.

Hoppus, the band's bassist, continues to perform music while launching clothing lines, appearing on television and in films, and even hosting his own show on Fuse called Hoppus on Music. The musician said in 2021 that he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, saying that he was ‘scared’ but ‘blessed with incredible doctors’. He proclaimed himself ‘cancer free’ in September 2021, after having many treatments.

The group's final concert took place in 2008. After undergoing a horrific flying event in the same year, Barker suffered from PTSD, making it difficult for him to fly for tours.
