PEOPLE notes that one notable aspect of the campaign was its commitment to showcasing real beauty by refraining from excessive retouching. Mel B expressed her personal connection to the cause, as a survivor of domestic violence herself. The former America's Got Talent judge told Women’s Health:
'For me, like many of the survivors, your power has just completely been taken off you. That's why this shoot is particularly important to me to come together with my daughter or my mum and just show that unity.'

Phoenix Brown, Mel B's eldest daughter, has captivated social media with her uncanny resemblance to her mother.
