However, alongside his remarkable achievements on the pitch, Roy Keane has always been known for his strong and uncompromising personality. This strong personality, often seen as both his strength and his Achilles' heel, has now found itself at the center of a new controversy: a dramatic confrontation during the Arsenal vs. Manchester United match.

Arsenal vs Manchester United post-match drama

An alarming incident unfolded at the Emirates Stadium during the clash between Arsenal and Manchester United, as former football stars Roy Keane and Micah Richards found themselves in the midst of a confrontation with a fan.

Video footage surfaced showing an altercation that took place just after United star Alejandro Garnacho saw his goal ruled out in the 88th minute. Keane, alongside former Manchester City defender Micah Richards, was fulfilling the role of a studio pundit for Sky during the match, accompanied by former Arsenal player Theo Walcott.

As per reports, Keane and Richards were in a heated confrontation with a supporter inside the Highbury Bar at the Emirates Stadium. The Mirror reports that the fan attempted to headbutt Roy Keane during this confrontation.

An eyewitness, who was present in the Highbury Bar at the time, recounted the incident, stating that the fan's aggressive behavior led to a physical confrontation. Micah Richards was observed forcefully intervening and holding the supporter by the collar. The witness told The Mirror:

'The fan seemingly tried to head-butt Roy Keane. I then saw a mark between his eyebrows. Micah Richards stepped in and pushed the fan back against the door. I heard the altercation and I was shocked to see the individuals involved.'

Additional security personnel were summoned to the scene, eventually leading to the removal of the fan from the premises. A small amount of blood was noticed on the floor along the route taken by the fan during his removal, as per MailOnline.

Police investigation and the perpertrator

The Metropolitan Police confirmed the launch of an investigation into the alleged assault that transpired at the Emirates Stadium. A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault (ABH) in connection with the incident. A spokesperson for Sky Sports told Mirror Football:

'We understand the police are investigating an alleged assault by a member of the public immediately preceding the footage circulating on social media. In the footage seen, Micah Richards was acting to diffuse a situation.'

MailOnline has uncovered that Scott Law is the Arsenal supporter who headbutted Keane. He holds a senior managerial position at a prominent housebuilding corporation. This 42-year-old father of two serves as a technical director at Countryside Partnerships, a company engaged in constructing residences and overseeing urban regeneration endeavors. Mr. Law, who possesses a season ticket for Arsenal matches, resides in Waltham Abbey, Essex, alongside his wife, a beauty therapist, and blogger, in a three-bedroom house valued at £400,000.

In the aftermath of the incident, both Roy Keane and Micah Richards resumed their duties as Sky Sports pundits. They are said to have returned to their responsibilities following the fan's removal from the premises.

Keane and Richards frequently collaborate on Sky's Super Sunday program, and viewers can expect to see them together on TV screens once more after the international break on September 17. On that day, Bournemouth will be facing Chelsea, while Arsenal will be traveling to Everton.
