The couple announced their shock exit from the show after five years of success.

Gogglebox is a Channel 4 reality television show produced by Stephen Lambert, Tania Alexander, and Tim Harcourt. The series follows families and groups of friends throughout the United Kingdom as they observe and react to the previous week's television from the comfort of their own homes. The first season premiered on March 7, 2013, and the nineteenth season premiered on February 18, 2022.

Marcus Luther and Mica Ven have been one of the most popular couples on Gogglebox since they joined the Channel 4 family, given their charming connection and amusing commentary. Unfortunately, the couple has announced their departure from the Channel 4 show in order to pursue other endeavors.

Why did the pair leave Gogglebox?

In a statement on Twitter, the duo clarified:

‘We’ve had so much fun with you all tuning in at home and the hardworking Gogglebox crew but it’s time to put down the remote and see what else God has in store for us.'

They also expressed their gratitude to all the fans:

‘To everyone that has tuned in & sent us messages of love and encouragement over the years, we appreciate every last one of you. Thank you so much.’

The TV celebrities also turned to Instagram to announce their depature, with the duo posting a selfie with a heartfelt message.

‘We just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to @c4Gogglebox for having us for the last 5 years, even though we had to travel so far for filming (downstairs & through the corridor) it was so worth it, it’s been an epic journey! You guys are the bestest of the best,’ they wrote.

The couple concluded:

‘And lastly, To all our Yardie friends & family that always big us up to whoever will listen, when you’re chatting about our departure, the program’s called GOGGLEBOX not GOOOOOGLEbox, it’s not a dam search engine.’

Marcus and Mica's beautiful romance

Apart from their on-screen harmony, Marcus and Mica are also well-known for their beautiful romance. They met several years ago at church when their paths crossed. Although it wasn't love at first sight for Mica, it was for Marcus, and the boxing coach was immediately smitten.

Mica had signed up for a certain course at the church, as Marcus described to Heat, so he followed suit. ‘But then she tried to set me up with some other girls from the course. She wasn't interested,’ the gym owner said.
