In an interview, the 2022 series winner discussed the group dynamic, claiming that she only speaks to some participants individually. Ekin-Su stated that she is still a member of one group chat, but that they haven't talked in months.

Why did the stars stop chatting?

Explaining the reason behind the separation, the star said that all the members are now under a hectic schedule because of their increased popularity and new relationships to focus on. Perhaps, Ekin-Su did focus on her romance very well as her love with boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti just stays the same, and moreover, their compatibility was proved by the winning awards from most of the recent series they attended together.

In an interview with Heat magazine, Ekin-Su disclosed:

‘There's still one Islander [ WhatsApp ] chat I'm in and no one speaks on it. The last time everyone had a proper chat was two months ago. But I message Gemma and Tasha individually.

The reality TV star explained that they all 'have their own relationships':

‘Everyone's so busy and have their own relationships to focus on.’

According to Metro, while Davide claims he hasn't participated in any Islander group chat since his Italian and English phone numbers got messed up. This comes after it was revealed that Davide and Ekin-Su would be launching their own travel show, Homecomings, together.

What is Homecomings about?

Homecomings involve the pair visiting their respective home countries and immersing themselves in the cultures of their other halves. They will visit Turkey and Italy, and the couple has already confirmed that there will be some typical Ekin-Su and Davide squabbles, according to the Evening Standard.

The most difficult aspect of the show, according to Ekin-Su, was that every moment was recorded, meaning they barely have 100% privacy, and therefore, navigating a romance become difficult.

She confessed:

‘The most challenging moment was that everything was filmed. We wanted it to be as accurate as possible and there are moments you will see where we bicker and argue, but all couples go through that.'

Ekin-Su continued, saying how she 'wanted privacy':

‘If we wanted privacy we couldn't because it's a reality show at the end of the day.’

In the first destination of their trip, the pair flies to Italy to see Davide's homeland of Frosinone. It's his first visit since leaving the Love Island villa earlier this year, and he's planning to show Ekin-Su the local life in his hometown. The couple also takes a quick tour of Verona and explores the Tuscan valley. They then travel to Turkey, starting in Istanbul.
