The relationship between Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham has certainly been dominating British headlines ever since they started dating. The couple share a level of affection with each other that they're not afraid to share with the world, and subsequently, their wedding and family drama within the Beckham family brought in a lot of public attention.
In the midst of all these events, what has Peltz been up to with regard to her professional endeavors?
Rumors of feud resurfacing
It was during Victoria Beckham's first fashion show at Paris Fashion Week, the entire Beckham family came together in support of her, including Peltz and Brooklyn. Following that, many news publications took this as a show of a united front, and the majority of rumors were quelled to a certain degree.
Since then, Peltz has kept herself busy attending shoots and fashion shows, which included the Valentino Spring/Summer 2023 collection during Paris Fashion Week. More recently, Peltz celebrated her appearance on the cover of Vogue Turkey, with her husband Brooklyn praising her achievement.
However, HELLO! Magazine reports on the recent interview the actress had with The Sunday Times, where she spoke about the rift with her mother-in-law.
Peltz said:
It’s not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud!' I don’t know why they say feud? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they’re labeling it feud? No family is perfect! I don’t pay attention to all of it... If I did, I would go crazy.
The latter part of that statement that highlights how 'no family is perfect' gives way to the thought that there indeed was a rift between Peltz and Victoria, although both have vehemently denied the rumors of the same. During a Variety interview the actress did with her husband, she specifically stated that there wasn't any credence to the rumors.
The origin of the rumors traces back to the couple's wedding, where the actress reportedly refused to wear a wedding dress designed by Victoria, and from that point onward any hint or semblance of a distance between Peltz and Victoria was highlighted and micro-analyzed by the public.
Addressing the topic of the wedding dress, Peltz said:
I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started.
She added:
I’ve learned they’re always going to try to write stuff like that. They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good.”
That being said, The Sunday Times interview may just re-ignite the rumors that were quelled very recently.
What is the actress doing now?
In the midst of all the supposed conflicts and rifts, Peltz has kept herself occupied, specifically focusing on her acting career. It was recently revealed that she is set to star alongside Downton Abbey actor Dan Stevens in the Disney+ series, Welcome to Chippendale.
