David Beckham shares his 'favorite' meal that divides fans

The former England international has fans divided after posting a picture of a feast he was tucking into on Instagram.

Last week, David Beckham answered a question we’d been dying to know the answer to for years: what does Victoria Beckham eat in a day to maintain such a great physique in her forties?

And the answer was uninspiring. For many people, having an ultra-healthy plate of salmon and greens every day for a quarter of a century like Posh Spice is seriously nightmarish.

David Beckham is a fan of tinned pineapple

But now, David, a self-confessed gourmet, has revealed his favorite dish, which has caused some online debate, obtained by Yahoo! Sport.

In contrast to his wife Victoria, who adheres to grilled fish and steamed veggies and has been doing so for the past 25 years, her husband can not do the same. The former football player has admitted that pineapple and baked beans served on the same plate are one of his favorite dishes.

Sharing a pic of the meal on Instagram, Becks gushed:

‘Last night’s feast was one of my favorites growing up. Thanks, mum. Gammon, chips, fried egg, tinned pineapple, peas & baked beans, coleslaw.’

‘Pineapple does not belong on the main meal,’ one fan commented about the weird combination.

A second humorously wrote: ‘Coleslaw and mushy peas? Has everyone gone berserk?’

But others thought the opposite.

‘Perfectly acceptable dinner. The egg goes well with gammon, coleslaw with pineapple, chips with peas,’ another fan said.

Victoria Beckham's strict diet for 25 years

David acknowledged in an interview with River Cafe Table 4 earlier this year that, in contrast to his wife, he gets ‘emotional’ about food and wine.

‘When I’m eating something great I want everyone to try it,’ he revealed.

The former England captain continued, saying that his wife is a creature of habit when it comes to her mealL

‘Unfortunately, I’m married to someone that has eaten the same thing for the last 25 years. Since I met Victoria, she only eats grilled fish, and steamed vegetables, she will very rarely deviate away from there.’

The father of four continued:

‘The only time she’s probably ever shared something that’s been on my plate was actually when she was pregnant with Harper and it was the most amazing thing. It was one of my favorite evenings. I can’t remember what it was but I know she’s not eaten it since.’

Victoria discussed her go-to comfort meal on the same show last year, and it sounded not very appetizing.

‘This is where I sound even more boring in the food department,’ she said.

‘I like whole grain toast with salt on it. It’s that carbohydrate that makes you feel comforted and I love salt.’

The Beckhams are reuniting in Paris

Discussing the Beckham family, people can not ignore the recent drama regarding the confrontation between David Beckham and his eldest son, Brooklyn at the Paris Fashion week. This unusual dad-and-son talking was due to the strained relationship between the two Mrs. Beckhams. Victoria and Nicola have been rumored to ‘can’t stand one another and don’t talk’ after consecutive disagreements and misunderstandings.

Fortunately, the situation is reported to get better after the reunion of Brooklyn and his parents at Victoria’s fashion show - her PFW debut and first fashion show since the pandemic.

Noticeably, Brooklyn's wife Nicola Peltz was also present. This marked a positive sign amidst the tension as this is the first time Victoria and Nicola had been photographed together at an event since the start of the dress drama, obtained by Stylecaster.
