The Duchess of Sussex has shared a fascinating insight into her first time enjoying Christmas with the British Royal Family, in which she sat next to Prince Philip at lunch.
On Thursday 8 December, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the first three episodes of their tell-all Netflix documentary series Harry and Meghan.
Following the release of Prince Harry's bombshell memoir titled Spare and the Sussexes' tell-all Netflix docuseries, it looks like the couple won't be spending Christmas with the Brits royals in at least a few years' time. While the royal feud has shown no sign of easing, the couple's new Netflix docuseries deals yet another major blow to any chance of a reunion.
However, before relations escalated, the Sussexes once enjoyed a wonderful life at Sandringham, alongside their relatives such as Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the late Queen. And in the first episode of Harry and Meghan's Netflix series, the Duchess even paid tribute to the first Christmas she spent with the British Royal Family when there was no tension between them.

For the event, Meghan, a former TV actress, donned an elegant camel Sentaler coat and a Chloe saddle bag, while Kate Middleton beamed in a tartan Miu Miu ensemble, reports Hello!

'I remember so vividly the first Christmas at Sandringham. Calling my mum, and she's like, 'How's it going?'. And I said, 'Oh my gosh, it's amazing'.'
The Duchess gushes that it's just 'a big family she always wanted':
'It's just like a big family like I always wanted. And there was just this constant movement and energy and fun.'

'And I just thought it was so wonderful. And I was like, 'Oh, we chatted and it was so great. And I talked about this, and talked about this.'
The mother of two then reveals the hilarious moment between her and Harry's grandfather:
'He [Prince Harry] was like, 'You had his bad ear. He couldn't hear anything you were saying.' I was like 'Oh...well, I thought it went really well!'
