Throughout his career, James Corden has explored many avenues, which include acting, comedy, and ultimately television hosting. He is best known for hosting The Late Late Show with James Corden on CBS, which debuted in 2015. Prior to his work in the United States, Corden had a successful career as a television presenter, actor, and comedian in the UK, including co-creating, co-writing and co-starring in the popular BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey.

In addition to hosting The Late Late Show, Corden has also appeared in a number of films and stage productions, and has earned accolades for his work, including a BAFTA Award for Gavin & Stacey and a Tony Award for his role in the play One Man, Two Guvnors.

Los Angeles mansion

Corden moved to the US in 2015 following the beginning of his stint in The Late Late Show and has been staying there since. According to HELLO! Magazine, the TV host purchased his first property in Brentwood, Los Angeles in 2017, a £7.5 million mansion that was previously owned by Modern Family's Stephen Levitan.

The house features 8,609 square feet within which it includes five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and various amenities and luxuries. The entire estate is estimated to be 20,000 square feet and includes an outdoor pool, barbecue area, rolling lawns, spa, etc.

The luxurious house additionally includes a living room with a fireplace and a piano, a large chef's kitchen and dining room, a basement media room, and a gym. Corden's neighbors include Harrison Ford, Gweneth Paltrow, and Steven Spielberg.

Back at home

In 2010, Corden purchased the property in Belsize Park for an estimated £3 million. Not much is known about the property, but it is known that the property was subsequently sold by Corden due to issues he had with his neighbor, which even extended toward a legal battle.

Corden, alongside his neighbor, Chris Martin from Coldplay, objected to a third neighbor constructing an iceberg basement, which is the dramatic extension of the basement area to convert it into a multi-room and multi-floor liveable area.

At the time, Corden was reportedly making £15,000 a month by renting out the place, but he subsequently lost the battle with the neighbor on getting the rights to start construction, thus he sold the property for reportedly twice the amount of purchase.

A return

It was recently announced by Corden that this will be his last year with The Late Late Show, and after its completion, Corden would complete eight years of stay in the US. It was also announced that he is planning to return to the UK.

This prompts the question; where will Corden stay? Currently, the TV host owns an £8 million property near the Oxfordshire border, but due to a lack of care and trespassing over the past two years, the house is in a derelict condition with overgrown gardens, reports The Daily Mail.

The house sits on sprawling 43 acres of land and features four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a tennis court. It is unknown if the TV host has any plans for renovations or whether he's going to make an additional purchase, but this house certainly remains an option after the proper work.
