According to Page Six, Kourtney Kardashian and musician Travis Barker have officially announced that they are expecting their first child together.
The news came through an Instagram post where Kourtney appeared in the crowd at one of Travis' concerts, holding up a sign that read, 'Travis, I'm pregnant.' The couple then shared a sweet moment of celebration as Travis came down to kiss Kourtney, capturing the excitement of the moment. Kourtney's form-fitting black bodysuit provided the first glimpse of her pregnant figure, and fans were thrilled by the announcement.
A long journey of hardships
Kardashian and Barker have been open about their journey using in vitro fertilization (IVF) in an attempt to conceive. In an interview with WSJ magazine, Kourtney revealed that they had initially started the IVF process but had to pause it due to the emotional toll it was taking. She explained:
'We started an IVF journey, but I stopped. It was a lot. I took a break to just focus on our wedding and getting married.'
However, in a later episode of The Kardashians, she mentioned that they had decided to stop pursuing IVF altogether. Kourtney expressed her belief in fate, saying: 'We are officially done with IVF. We would love a baby more than anything, but I just really believe in what God has in store for us. If that’s a baby, then I believe that it will happen.'
Kardashian also revealed that despite freezing seven of her eggs when she began dating Barker, most of them did not survive or develop into embryos. This led her to shift her focus toward conceiving naturally, emphasizing the importance of happiness and being a good parent to her existing children.
Meet Kourtney and Scott Disick's three children
As per Cosmopolitan, the Blink-182 rocker is the father of son Landon and daughter Alabama with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
Meanwhile, Kardashian already has three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick: Mason, 13; Penelope, 10; and Reign, 8. As per PEOPLE, their co-parenting relationship has been amicable, allowing them to prioritize the well-being of their children despite their separation.
Mason Dash Disick
Mason, born in December 2009, was the first grandchild of Kris Jenner among the Kardashian siblings.
While the couple initially shared glimpses of Mason's life on Instagram, their posting frequency decreased as Mason entered his preteen years. He gained attention in the media when news surfaced about an almost altercation at school, which his parents decided not to escalate.
According to ELLE, Mason created an Instagram account in the following year, but it was quickly deleted after he went live and addressed rumors about his aunt Kylie Jenner and her then-partner Travis Scott.
Penelope Scotland Disick
Penelope, born in July 2012, became Mason's little sister. The mother-daughter bond between Kardashian and Penelope is strong, with Penelope frequently sharing her mother's bed unless she is spending the night at a friend's house or with other family members. The youngest of Kourtney's children with Scott Disick is Reign Aston Disick, who shares a birthday with his older brother, Mason. However, Kourtney and Scott's relationship ended in July of the following year after nine years together.
