According to The Mirror, singer Peter Andre and his wife, Emily, have shared some exciting news with the world: they are expecting their third child together.
The Mysterious Girl singer, who is 50, announced this joyous development on Instagram, alongside a heartwarming photo of the couple holding up their ultrasound scans. In the caption, Peter expressed their delight and revealed that a new addition would be joining their family in 2024. Captioning the post, Peter wrote:
'We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024. The kids are so excited. So are we.'
Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh, who is 34 and works as a GP, tied the knot in 2015 and are already proud parents to two adorable kids. However, Peter also shares two older children, Princess and Junior, with his former partner, Katie Price. 'Children… I was like, when I get to 50 I’m done and then I find myself having conversations with [Emily] going, ‘Yeah you know, if we did have another child, where would we put Junior? I can’t even believe we have those conversations and that makes me think that I just don’t know, it’s just one of those things. It’s just weird that we even have those conversations, so I don’t know.'
However, Peter humorously acknowledged that the final decision would rest with Emily, saying, 'Listen, us guys can wishful think all we like, right, but it’s going to be up to her.'
Inside Peter Andre's love journey
Peter Andre and Emily's growing family began in a rather unusual way back in 2010 when Peter had to undergo emergency surgery for kidney stones while in Taunton, Somerset. Dr. Ruaraidh MacDonagh, Emily's father, was the on-call consultant who conducted the surgery. Peter, feeling grateful, offered him tickets to one of his Plymouth shows. However, since Dr. MacDonagh couldn't attend, his wife Rebecca and their daughter, Emily, took his place.
This initial meeting led to a blossoming romance, and two years later, they found themselves exchanging wedding vows at a beautiful ceremony held at Mamhead House in Exeter. They welcomed their first child, Amelia, in 2014 and later added Theo to their family in November 2016.
In a recent column for OK!, Peter emphasized the importance of maintaining their relationship and ensuring they have quality time together as a couple. He wrote:
'Emily is a gentle soul and an unbelievable mum. As we were friends first, we had that good foundation for our relationship. She really is my best friend. I also think it’s important to have date nights and make time for us as a couple, away from being parents. I believe happy parents equals happy kids, and vice versa.'
