A new path
Andre's son from his first marriage, Junior, started following in his father's footsteps and released his first single, Slide, last year, which ended up becoming a massive hit amongst his fans. His single ended up topping the charts just hours after its release and ended up outselling Harry Styles and Lady Gaga at the time.
Following his recent success, the 17-year-old musician has landed another successful milestone in his career as he will be performing at Camp Bestival this summer. He made the happy announcement on his Instagram page noting that 'I’m gonna be appearing at Bestival this summer. Can’t wait! Who’s coming.'
His father reflected happiness and responded saying 'let's go' with a streak of fire emojis. However, there is one aspect that Andre had previously asserted, and it is that he would not be featuring his son on his own album, reports Mirror.
One reason for the decision is for Junior to carve out his own path in the music industry, and additionally, Junior has already begun charting out his career with multiple songs planned to release in 2023, which means that collaborating with his father may not be in the plans just yet.
