The couple, who had announced their pregnancy in July, were recently spotted strolling with their newborn in Notting Hill, London, as captured by the Daily Mail. While they were spotted in London, the two live in Bucklebury, in west Berkshire, where the Middletons grew up.
The baby's gender, name, and exact birthdate are yet to be revealed, and neither James nor Alizee have made a public statement regarding the birth.
As per PEOPLE, this joyful addition to the Middleton family marks the seventh grandchild for Carole and Michael Middleton, with Kate Middleton and her husband Prince William's three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—and Pippa Middleton's three children—Arthur, Grace, and Rose Matthews—preceding their cousin's arrival.
James Middleton, known for his entrepreneurial ventures, took to Instagram to share the first glimpse of their baby along with the exciting news. He captioned the post, 'We couldn’t be more excited … well Mable might be' along with a heart emoji.
James and Alizee met in a special way
James and Alizee's journey began when they met in 2018, leading to their engagement a year later and their picturesque wedding in Bormes-les-Mimosas, France, in September 2021. A year after their engagement, pandemic-related restrictions forced the postponement of their wedding until September 2021 when they celebrated their nuptials in a picturesque beachside ceremony in Provence, France. As per PEOPLE, the former Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with their children, and Pippa and James, were all present to mark the special occasion.
In his heartwarming post, he also fondly mentioned their dogs, who have been an integral part of their family. James and Alizee have six dogs—Mabel, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Nala, and Isla—contributing to the inspiration behind his dog food company, James & Ella.
Their furry family members have played a significant role in their love story. James shared how they met at the South Kensington Club in 2018, thanks to his beloved dog, Ella, who 'made a beeline' for Alizee, sparking their romance. He recalled:
'Ella was lying at my feet under the table; realising she might want some water, I trusted her to take herself over to the water bowl across the terrace.'
James added:
'Little did I know, but I had just met my future wife, all thanks to Ella. If I hadn’t trusted Ella, I wouldn’t have brought her to the South Kensington Club and she wouldn’t have been able to say hi to the woman who became my fiancée.'
Tragically, earlier this year, James announced Ella's passing on Instagram. He wrote that 'my dear Ella has passed away', adding that his companion of 15 years had 'slipped away in my arms' after a short period of illness.
