Piers Morgan recently reacted to getting booed at the NTA's by the audience through a Twitter post, here's what he said.

Piers Morgan has excelled in the areas of journalism, broadcasting, and writing, with a career of 35+ years. While he enjoys fame and popularity, audiences don’t react to the TV personality with the same happiness (as before) when they see him. Being a testament to negative reactions, Piers Morgan was recently booed at the National Television Awards by the crowds that came to watch.

Here’s what happened at the NTAs, and how Piers Morgan retaliated after the negative reaction he received.

Piers Morgan booed at the NTAs

The NTAs are one of the most prestigious television awards for the British audience. With winners voted by the public, it always prioritizes a layman’s opinion on British national television. And this time, it did not go well for the former Britain’s Got Talent host.

The host of the awards ceremony, Joel Dommett welcomed in many prominent television faces to the function conducted at London’s O2 Arena. And when Joel got to Piers Morgan, there were clear and audible boos from the audience.

Joel adding fuel to the fire

While Piers Morgan was visibly unhappy with the audience's reaction, Joel added to the reaction by taking an almost invisible jab at Morgan. In fact, the Liverpool Echo even deemed it as trolling. Joel said the following when fans booed at Piers Morgan.

"Say what you like about Piers."

He paused awkwardly soon after he said that and went on to introduce Louis Theroux right after.

Fans reacting to the boos

Twitter, or X as it’s now called had a field day after the National Television Awards, especially at the expense of Piers Morgan. Comments are pouring in about Piers and the infamous boos. There were comments such as the following, making its rounds on X.

"Joel saying what everyone's thinking".
"NOT THE BOOING FOR PIERS MORGAN".

Piers Morgan reacts to the trolls

While it was all fun and laughs for everyone else, Piers Morgan failed to see the humor in the situation, naturally. He shared a post on Twitter (now known as X) talking about all the hurdles he had to face to get to the venue in London, only to get trolled by the audiences and the host. He uploaded a picture of himself in a black suit and tie and wrote the following as a caption that accompanied the image.

“Got the Tube in searing heat.. got mocked by a host I’ve never heard of… got booed by an audience of shrieking banshees… got beaten by Graham bloody Norton.. and now getting the first limo I can find to get the hell outta here. Thanks for a great night ⁦@OfficialNTAs⁩ ”
