Rise to fame

Katie Price was born on May 22, 1978. The Sun reports that at the age of 17, Price started exploring a career as a model under the pseudonym Jordan and frequently appeared on The Sun's page 3 in 1996. Viewers got to know her more after she entered I'm a Celebrity...Get me Out of Here in 2004.

After this point, she decided that this was the right move forward from Jordan the model, and open herself up more to the British public. From that point onward, she began growing a solid fan following that she still maintains.

The TV personality has appeared in numerous shows, including Katie & Peter, Signed by Katie Price, My Crazy Life, and Katie Did Next, reports The Sun.

Difficulties faced

According to Metro, Price filed for bankruptcy in 2019 after failing to pay £3.2 million in debts. The Sun further reports that Price's net worth was once £40 million, but currently, it is reported to be less than £1 million at £770,000.

The TV personality had agreed to follow a repayment plan to clear her debt with her creditors, and a court hearing was scheduled on June 7 to track her progress on repayments, but it was moved to February 9, 2023.

The Daily Mail reports that she avoided jail in February earlier this year as she couldn't keep up with the agreed repayment plan, and it was settled through a last-minute deal on paying back the money.

Speaking about this situation to OK! Magazine, Price noted:

My bankruptcy is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. Because anyone who has ever been in my life before has tried to take from me, financially mostly. Now they can’t, as I’m in bankruptcy. I love it.

Opening up about her issues

Over the past few years, Price has made it known to her fans that she was in the process of going through a difficult time in life. Earlier this year in January, Mirror reported on Price stating that certain traumatic events led up to her losing her way throughout the course of 2021 which ended up in a horrific car crash.

During that time, she stated that she was 'not ready' to speak about the subject, but later she announced a documentary titled Katie Price: Trauma and Me which is set to air on Channel 4. The documentary was supposed to air on September 8, but with respect to the national mourning period, it was postponed. That being said, Price recently announced that the documentary would air on October 10.

The subject of the documentary would coincide with that particular date, which is World Mental Health Day. The documentary would specifically focus on the time period that led up to the crash and the mental health struggles she faced.
