The actress credits her husband Brooklyn as her biggest supporter and best friend amid rumors of family fallout.
Since Nicola's wedding to Brooklyn earlier this year, rumors have been circulating that the 27-year-old and her 48-year-old mother-in-law are no longer on good terms.
In spite of her supposedly being involved in a dispute with Brooklyn Beckham's mother Victoria Beckham, the actress admitted that Brooklyn is her biggest supporter as she walked the red carpet on Wednesday for the Welcome to Chippendales premiere.
Brooklyn means everything to Nicola
According to Entertainment Online, Nicola portrays Dorothy Stratten, a late playmate, in Hulu's Welcome to Chippendales, which premieres on Hulu on Tuesday, November 22. The program tells the tale of Indian immigrant Somen ‘Steve’ Banerjee, who by chance founded a male revue that went on to become a sensation in society.
Recently, Nicola attended the Los Angeles premiere in a stylish white dress with a feather accent, and she accompanied her husband, who wore a black tailored suit. Nicola said to E! News during the premiere of her new film:
'He is my greatest friend and the kindest guy in the world, and I think it's so lovely how he supports me because it means everything.'
It's believed that Nicola and Victoria fell out before Nicola married Brooklyn because Victoria was unable to continue making her dress.
What happened between Nicola and Victoria?
On April 9, 2022, Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot at an elegant, star-studded affair held on Peltz's family estate in Palm Beach, Florida. The multi-day celebration was filled with friends and family of both the bride and groom, including Brooklyn's famous family, parents Victoria Beckham, David Beckham, siblings and Nicola's family.
For her big day, the Bates Motel actress wore a couture Valentino gown, despite the fact that Victoria's custom-made gown was the initial choice.
Nicola is now reasserting that their relationship was not damaged by the gown. Nicola said to Grazia USA:
‘Well, I was planning on wearing Victoria's wedding dress and I was truly so excited to be able to wear. However, things did not proceed as planned.'
Nicola revealed that after she, her mother, and close friend Leslie Fremar collaborated on a design for Victoria's atelier, the Spice Girls member contacted Nicola's mother to inform her that the dress couldn't be made in time.
‘After connecting to begin the dress' design, a few days passed with me hearing nothing. Victoria told my mother by phone that her atelier would be absent.’
She said that when people claim she's never wanted to wear a garment made by Victoria, ‘it does hurt my feelings.’
Although they were spotted together at Victoria's catwalk presentation during Paris Fashion Week, Nicola and Victoria haven't officially addressed the split rumors.
