Nicola Peltz has faced several rumors regarding her feud with mother-in-law Victoria Beckham, and now the two women are planning for a second ceremony.
Nicola Peltz is believed to be planning a second wedding with her husband Brooklyn Beckham to celebrate their first anniversary, after calling their first ceremony last year a 'nightmare'.
Tensions derailed lavish wedding
Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham's wedding made headlines last year for its grandeur, but it also created rumors of tension and family feuding.
According to Metro, Nicola reportedly clashed with her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham over the wedding, and Nelson Peltz, Nicola's billionaire dad, is now suing Plan Design Events for failing to return a deposit of $159,000 (£132,000) after they were sacked for being unable to meet the 'scale' of what Nicola had planned.
According to a source close to Nicola, she is now planning a second wedding ceremony to give her and Brooklyn a chance to have a 'positive, happy day' after all the 'stress' of the initial ceremony last year. The source said Nicola found the first ceremony 'stressful from start to finish' and even finds it 'tricky' looking at pictures from what should have been the happiest day of her life.
The insider told Closer that a second wedding could be beneficial for Victoria, who could use it as a chance to 'erase' the alleged feud. The idea of doing it all again is appealing to her as well, and it could be a great way to mark a fresh start between the families.
Nicola reportedly wants the new ceremony to take place on her and Brooklyn's first anniversary. The Bates Motel star is thought to be planning to wear a new dress and has been looking at different locations. The source said:
'Nicola just wants a really positive, happy day to represent what she and Brooklyn are all about – rather than the tension and stress attached to the first one.'
They added that the whole wedding was a 'nightmare' with all the rows, issues and tension:
'The whole thing was a nightmare. She was far from completely happy with the wedding, the build-up with the three different planners, and associates it now with rows, issues and tension.'
This time, however, the setup and arrangements of the wedding will likely be different from the first. The insider noted: 'She wants their second wedding to be super cool, very modern and very different from the first, so there are a few ideas floating around.'
Nicola breaks silence on family feud rumors
The rumored feud between Nicola and Victoria reportedly started when Nicola was unable to wear a dress designed by Victoria for her wedding. However, Nicola later denied the rumors, revealing that the Spice Girl’s atelier 'couldn’t make the dress.'
To add fuel to the fire, Victoria was also accused of attempting to sabotage the day after a guest revealed how she 'stole' the couple’s choice of song for their first dance for her mother-and-son moment.
The source also told the Mirror while Brooklyn's mother Victoria has always cherished her eldest son's first wedding, she would also support him if there's a second ceremony. They said:
'The idea of doing it all again is appealing to her as well. The feud wouldn’t be erased overnight with just another wedding, of course, but it could be a great way to mark a fresh start.'
Despite the reported tension between the families, the couple joined the Beckham family at Paris Fashion Week last month to publicly support Victoria at her catwalk show. However, Brooklyn and Nicola opted to holiday with her parents, billionaire Nelson Peltz and model Claudia, last summer, as well as spending Christmas with them at their sprawling mansion in Miami, while the Beckhams celebrated at their home in the Cotswolds.
