From incurring huge losses in 2019, to making incredible profits, here's how Jamie Oliver is making up for lost time.

Jamie Oliver is one of the world’s finest cooks, restauranteurs, and cookbook authors who have done amazingly well for himself, professionally and personally.

From starring in The Naked Chef in 1999 to owning his own chain of restaurants, he has taken the food industry by storm with his immense contributions.

Now, besides making a lot of millions being the best-selling non-fiction British author, he has also found some other ways to add to his wealth. Recently, Jamie Oliver came across £6M to add to his wealth, and here’s how he did it.

Jamie Oliver’s £6M profit

Jamie Oliver recently made headlines when he sold his London mansion. And it was sold for a whopping £15M. And with this sale, the chef has made a profit of £6M, which is brilliant, to say the least. After buying what is known as the Highgate House in 2015 for £8.95M, the chef has sold it for slightly less than double the price he paid. As per The Sun, the details of the sale have just now been released, and the property is a prime piece of real estate as it lies on the same road as George Michael’s and Kate Moss’s former homes.

And now, the new owners of the luxury home are all set to renovate it and change up its floor plans. Here’s what we know about the Highgate House.

The Highgate House

The house was bought by FIJPTC, a trustee company of the late pornography publisher and strip club owner Paul Raymond. The four-storey house is set to see some renovations to suit the needs of the current owners. This is what the documents filed to the Camden Council say about the home:

“Current kitchen has low levels of natural lights and is disconnected from the living space.”
“The new owner wishes to carry out a series of sensitive alterations to the property to ensure that it serves their long-term family needs, yet respects the unique historic character of the four-story house."

But the home, despite its small flaws, has an incredibly lush garden and eight bedrooms.

What is Jamie Oliver doing now?

Besides minting millions of pounds, Jamie Oliver has his hands dirty with so many projects. But one particular huge project is in the pipeline and is exciting for all of UK. As per Forbes, Jamie Oliver is all set to open a new chain of restaurants spread across the United Kingdom, with his first branch starting out in Drury Lane, which is next to London’s Theatre Royal.

The name of the chain is still undecided, but what we do know is the fact that this chain will focus more on local and seasonal British produce, which the menu revolves around. And it is likely to be more upmarket than his usual Italian chain of restaurants.

As per The Times, this is what Jamie Oliver said about this new mystery restaurant, that is in the pipeline.

“[The restaurant] is about going back to my culinary roots inspired by the dishes I grew up cooking in my mum and dad's pub restaurant,” said Oliver. “It's about celebrating Britain's rich and diverse food scene in what I hope will be an iconic, trusted restaurant in a very special place.”

Despite incurring a huge loss (both business and personal) a couple of years ago, Jamie seems to be back on his feet, with a new mission and focus this time around. Internationally, his chain seems to be doing formidably, with operations in 23 countries, in the form of over 70 restaurants.
