Recently, it was announced that Vanessa Feltz is taking part in the reality dating show. Vanessa, who is a prominent journalist and TV presenter is ready to let bygones be bygones and put herself out there with Celebs Go Dating, despite all her bad experiences. Vanessa Feltz’s love Life

The self-proclaimed ‘rotten picker’ as Vanessa describes her love life choices, is ready to embrace love again. Her most recent relationship was a long-term one with Ben Ofoedu, whom Vanessa had been seeing since 2005.

The 61-year-old Feltz received shocking news when Ben confessed to allegedly having an affair over 8 years ago. She confessed to having been extremely shocked and disappointed when he broke the news, but she decided that she wasn’t going to let this bring her down. And that she was moving forward.

Feltz’ view on her past choices

Giving romance and love another shot, Vanessa opened up on This Morning, by saying the following.

I think dating is damn difficult, I really do, and obviously I haven’t done it for 17 years."

"It is not easy and actually when it's not going well it's like wading through treacle, it's terribly difficult. Listen I have been, I think it's all public record, a rotten picker, I haven't been good at picking, I really haven't.”

Vanessa’s family dynamics

Vanessa seemed heartbroken and distraught by her breakup and cheating partner up until recently. And confessed that she still does get lonely at times. But, despite all the curve balls that life throws at her, she finds immense strength just by spending time with her family. Vanessa is close to her two daughters (Allegra and Saskia), and four grandchildren that she absolutely adores.

Vanessa Feltz shares her daughters with her ex-husband Michael Kurer, whom she was married to for 17 years, between the years 1983 and 2000. While she gained two lovely daughters as a result of her marriage, Vanessa, recalled certain traumatic incidents from her marriage while on This Morning, she said:

"I remember saying to my now ex-husband, ‘do I look fat?’ and he said to me, 'well how much do you weigh? However much you weigh that’s how fat you are'.

"And it absolutely cut me to the quick. I wanted him to say, 'you look gorgeous, I find you irresistible', he didn’t. He didn’t say anything nice or kind like that or reassuring."

The other case of infidelity

Ben Ofoedu wasn’t the only one who cheated on Vanessa Feltz. Her ex-husband Michael Kurer has also allegedly had an extramarital affair while being with Feltz, as per The Mirror. She addressed this issue on This Morning and said.

"My husband had left and I had no idea why. I just didn’t understand what was going on at all and then I had a call from a journalist and the message was left on the answerphone.

"I walked into the kitchen with my two little girls, played the answerphone message and the message was, 'We are aware that your husband is having an affair, please call me back'."
