After two years affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm A Celebrity will return to the signature Australian jungle for the 2022 series, and the date of its comeback has been revealed.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here's premiere date has been made public. For avid fans of the reality show, this is a piece of eagerly-awaited news as the 2022 series will head back to the signature Australian jungle after two years at Gwrych Castle.

The Sun says that the Qatar World Cup, which will begin on November 20, has caused the premiere of the next season of the ITV program to be moved early. The first FIFA World Cup to be held in the Middle East will be the FIFA World Cup 2022, with Qatar chosen to host in December 2010.

The competition will take place from November 20 to December 18, 2022, when temperatures in Qatar typically range from 24-28 degrees Celsius. While the 2022 World Cup will include 32 teams for the final time; the tournament in the United States, Mexico, and Canada in 2026 will have 48 teams instead. As one of the most watched sports events on the planet, World Cup 2022 is what causes I'm A Celeb's return to be slightly earlier.

When will I'm A Celebrity 2022 premiere?

Regarding the show's start date, an ITV spokesperson told the Mirror:

‘We’ll announce the start date for the new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! in due course.’

The publication says that the new season will likely premiere on Sunday, November 6, and will make its first appearance in Australia since 2019 when the pandemic broke out. The start of the next series would then be just two weeks away.

Due to travel limitations during the epidemic, the camp changed for the last two seasons, moving to Gwrych Castle in Wales. I'm A Celebrity 2022 is expected to be different since it's anticipated that the show will return to its native location in Australia.

Which stars will join the show?

Although the candidates haven't been revealed, speculations are rife. Ant and Dec will, of course, return to host the season.

The video expands on the teaser clip Ant and Dec published, in which Ant throws bags out of a helicopter while traveling to Australia, prompting Dec to get worried.

Dec is bewildered when Ant informs him that the luggage would ‘meet us there’ as his friend shoves a pile of skydiving equipment in his direction.

Ant tells Dec bluntly that he's going to have to follow him as he prepares to leap out of the plane while hilariously fumbling with the phonetic alphabet on a walkie-talkie.

Then, as he dangles out the door, Ant shoves a bundle of contracts at Dec and joyously reminds him: ‘Remember, wherever I go, you have to go!’.

Dec says, ‘I wish I'd never signed that thing’, as he examines the ‘Always Together Contract’, and then he too jumps from the aircraft.

Dec's anxieties are not eased by a cooler holding a quite nasty portion of a kangaroo's anatomy, but Ant can snag an Akubra hat on their fairly perilous descent into the bush
