As the relationship between the royal couple grew with every day, so did their family. After a sweet announcement at the beginning of this year, Princess Eugenie had Ernst, her second child. While the Princess is keen on mostly hiding her children’s faces in photographs, she did a big reveal recently and shared a family picture featuring her little ones. In the wake of the 5th wedding anniversary between Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, Eugenie gave her fans a sneak peek into her life in the form of a video montage of their wedding.
By sharing her wedding day footage in the form of a video montage, we got to see her wedding venue (St George’s Chapel), its guests, and the Princess walking down the aisle. The caption for the video was ‘five years ago today’, followed by heart emojis. And playing in the background was Florence and the Machine’s, You’ve Got The Love.
While the wedding video was heartwarming, fans of the Princess were really excited by the way the video ended. The end of the video saw a family picture featuring her two lovely children - August and Ernest.
The family photo
Adding a surprise factor to the wedding video montage was a never-seen-before family photo featuring the Princess, her husband, and her two children. Taken at a beach, her sons August and Ernest seem to be enjoying some lovely family time with the royal couple.
Ernest, who is just 5 months old, is being held by Princess Eugenie. And we see an ecstatic 2-year-old August who is clutching onto some pebbles while the picture is shot. Kneeling behind August is Jack Brooksbank, who was all smiles for the picture, as per The Express.
The candid nature of the picture
This update marks this image as their first family portrait, which is out in public. And unlike most family portraits, this is a quirky and unusual one. While most official family portraits in the royal family feature a giant hall, fine silk dresses, or color-coordinated costumes, this is unlike anything else. It neither featured any royal residence nor did it have elaborate outfits or jewelry. It was simple and straightforward, and makes for a refreshing new take on royal family portraits.
Fans love that it is so candid, and shows the royals as simple beach-goers like anyone else. And for that reason, the video and picture went viral online.
The royal couple
The royal wedding that took place in 2018 garnered a lot of media attention at the time. And while so many pictures from the event were public, this video featured some rare footage. The wedding that happened in Windsor Palace saw all the prominent royal family members attend it. After all, the extravagant engagement they had with a luxurious ring totally set the tone for the wedding.
Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are currently shuttling between Portugal and England. Portugal is where a lot of Jack’s business ventures are placed, while they also have royal duties to attend to in England.
