Prince George has a favourite food, and it isn't a typical British food item. Here's what the young royal loves to eat.

Prince George is growing up so fast, and with that, he is giving way to his unique personality with a distinct taste for things. It was recently revealed that he has a one-of-a-kind taste in music, unlike his other family members. This is the case with his taste in movies as well, with the young royal leaning towards certain Disney classics.

Recently, it was reported that Prince George had a favorite meal. And newsflash, it isn’t a typical British item, as one would expect him to like. In fact, it is a popular Italian dish. And here’s what it is.

Prince George's unique tastes

This young royal is allegedly a huge fan of Italian cuisine as a whole. The 10-year-old certainly has strong tastes, given that he has tried and tested global cuisines, which are the finest of its kind. Given his exposure, it is only fair that he picks favorites. Despite possibly joining the same school as Prince William soon, Prince George does not have all that much in common with his father, who prefers British classics when it comes to food.

Prince George is said to be extremely fond of this particular type of pasta that is world famous as it is. Here’s what it is.

Prince George’s favorite meal

No one can say no to a good old creamy bowl of pasta, and this is the case with royalty as well. Prince George allegedly has a soft spot for carbonara, which is an Italian staple comprising hard cheese, eggs, cured pork, and a dash of black pepper.

This information was revealed to Aldo, who is an ambassador for the youth homeless charity Centrepoint, for which Prince William is a patron. Prince William himself allegedly revealed this juicy piece of information to Aldo. In conversation with Femail, Aldo said the following about this exchange of information with the Prince.

[William's] amazing - I'm waiting for the call because apparently his little boy's favorite is spaghetti carbonara, so I'm waiting for the call to go and cook it for him. [William] is an absolute gent. He'll come over to you, speak to you about - he knows everything about everyone.
"If George has my carbonara, he will never have another one, so I need to go and make it, let's get the ball rolling, send me to the Palace to cook!"

More about Prince George’s meals

Prince William and Kate Middleton have always been open about their method of parenting, which is informal. While one would expect the young royals to eat complex foods such as caviar and roasted duck, it looks like they eat like average citizens, given that spaghetti carbonara is a big hit in their household. In fact, while one would expect gourmet chef-cooked meals in the Wales residence, it is known that Kate and William enjoy cooking meals at home for their family. Cooking has been so essential in making their family what it is, and here’s why that is.

The family’s love for spaghetti

Okay, Prince William may not love spaghetti, but he has claimed to have won over Kate Middleton with the help of it. He once revealed that he wooed his now wife with a spaghetti bolognese recipe, as per Go To. So the apple certainly doesn’t fall far from the tree, given that both of Prince George’s parents share a unique relationship with pasta as a whole. The fact that Prince George’s favorite meal is a simple dish that is budget-friendly sheds a lot of light on how the family operates inside close quarters. With a focus on hearty and soulful meals, it looks like the Wales household loves simple food, with no frills or fuss.
