It was recently announced that the 54-year-old Australian actor has split from his wife of 30 years, Deborra-Lee Furness. This split shocked all the Hugh Jackman fans, given that the couple has been together for almost 3 decades. From sharing a heartfelt kiss at the Venice Film Festival recently to making public appearances as a loving couple, fans were shocked by their decision to part ways. The joint statement issued by Hugh and Deborra said the following.
“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together... Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
It is rumored that both the pandemic and the writer’s strike affected the relationship of the former couple. The pandemic surely seeped into their lives negatively as it is said to have affected their relationship dynamic with each other. The Hamptons home listing
Hugh and Deborra recently listed their holiday home in the Hamptons for rent. The $3.5 million property took 6 years of the former couple's lives to set up and make it as per their taste, as per Hello! Magazine. Needless to say, a lot of labor of love has gone into making this property a dream home for the couple. As per Architectural Digest, Deborra said the following about the house that she painstakingly set up with her soon-to-be ex.
"This was my lifelong dream. It's like, bucket list, tick it off. I've done it, and I loved it."
Their listing this house that they loved and adored was a big red flag about the state of their relationship that fans seem to have missed. Somehow no one seemed to have questioned why this special abode was even going for rent, given the thought the two of them gave it as a couple.
