Meghan Markle targeted by Donald Trump as he reveals, 'I’d love to debate her'

Donald Trump has taken Meghan Markle's name yet again as he spews negative comments about her in an interview.

Over the years, Donald Trump has been in a pattern of clashing with celebrities over different issues. Being someone who possibly secretly loves a good celebrity feud, Trump has challenged a number of big names over the years.

From attacking Oscar-winner Meryl Streep and the Queen of Pop, Madonna to Snoop Dogg and NBA star Steph Curry, his attacks on celebrities are diverse and mostly unprovoked. Recently, the former American President dragged Meghan Markle’s name around, challenging her to a debate, out of the blue. Here’s what Donald Trump said about the Duchess of Sussex.

Trump wants to debate the Duchess

Donald Trump allegedly wants to debate with Meghan Markle, deeming the Duchess of Sussex to be ‘disrespectful'. He was referring to the time when Meghan was an integral part of the royal family. And how the decision by Prince Harry and Meghan to step down from their royal duties in 2020 was disrespectful to the late Queen Elizabeth.

In a conversation with radio host Hugh Hewitt, on The Hugh Hewitt Show, Trump said the following about Meghan Markle.

“I didn’t like the way she dealt with the Queen. They treated her with great disrespect and I didn’t like it.”

Trump’s visit to the Queen

During the conversation, Trump recalled his visit to the UK, back in 2019, and how he claimed to be very friendly with the Queen. He even went on to say the following about his interactions with the late Queen.

“She was an incredible woman. She was so sharp, she was 100 percent. When you watch Biden, you say this is a different planet.”

After this, he went on to express his blatant dislike and disagreement with what the Sussexes are ‘doing’, especially their claims in their Netflix docuseries Meghan & Harry and Harry’s autobiography Spare. He then expressed his desire to debate Meghan Markle.

“I think it’s not a good situation going on with the two of them, but I didn’t know that they don’t like me. Somebody mentioned it might be possible. They wouldn’t be the only ones. If you want to set it up, let’s set it up. I’d love to debate her.”

Trump’s other allegations against Markle

While this is a strong opinion to have about the royal couple, without really knowing too much about what’s going on, this isn’t the first time that Trump has spoken against Meghan Markle. He had a few things to say about the Suits star in a GB News interview with Nigel Farage back in May. As per The Independent, he said the following.

"I think she [Meghan] has been very disrespectful to the Queen. How can you be so disrespectful to the Queen? She was incredible, for decades and decades she never made a mistake. I cannot think of a mistake she made, she was never controversial. She went through years and decades without controversy. You cannot be disrespectful to her and I think Meghan was very disrespectful to her, very disrespectful.”

Trump’s unsavory comments on Meghan

Trump has taken things to a whole new level with his comments on Harry’s and Meghan’s marriage. He even went to the extent of saying the following in an interview with Piers Morgan:

“I’m not a fan of Meghan, and I wasn’t from the beginning. Poor Harry is being led around by his nose. And I think he’s an embarrassment,”

The former president even said unsavory things about Meghan such as she might leave Harry “when she decides that she likes some other guy better”. And that their marriage is a ticking time bomb, which will blow up when Harry’s done with being bossed around. Looks like the business mogul turned president loves talking about Meghan Markle.
