The pop star kicked off the new year 2023 on a getaway with Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz as the trio spent time together in Mexico.
Selena Gomez, Brooklyn Beckham, and Nicola Peltz are undoubtedly among the biggest names in Hollywood, each of them having a large following. And while there seems to be no interaction between Selena and the Beckham couple in the past, the truth is that they are becoming a power 'throuple' - a close-knit relationship between three famous friends.
For Selena, this new friendship is rather surprising as the Wolves singer previously said in an interview that she didn't feel comfortable fitting into a group of famous friends. Her only friend in the entertainment industry, as she insisted, is fellow singer Taylor Swift. However, recent months have witnessed the opposite as Selena has added two more celebrities to her circle of friends: Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham.
What is the real relationship between the trio?
According to Marca, very little is known about the true relationship between Selena Gomez and the Beckham couple, and it still remains uncertain when they strike up this Hollywood friendship.
In recent months, the Welcome To Chippendales star has been all over Selena Gomez's Instagram feed, and so has her husband, 23-year-old budding chef Brooklyn Beckham. The pair even snubbed the annual Christmas with Brooklyn's parents, Victoria and David Beckham, to spend it with Selena Gomez.
New year celebration together
As the new year comes, the 30-year-old musician took to social media to share a fun-filled trip to Mexico with Brooklyn and Nicola Beckham, teasing that she has become romantically involved with the married couple. Sharing several photos of them in Los Cabos, Selena captioned and referred to them as a 'throuple': 'Fine calls us a throuple #foreverplusone.'
The first photo was a black and white shot of the trio hugging and laughing on a luxury yacht, followed by more snaps of them posing together.
Fans quickly flooded in to share their excitement about the trio's friendship. The post has already received more than two million likes.
'Could y’all imagine somehow meeting Selena and becoming her best friend. Like it’s literally my dream. I cannot imagine how much fun they have,' commented one person.
Another joked: 'I shipped this trio so hard.'
Meanwhile, Nicola Peltz also shared further snaps of the trip on her own Instagram, revealing that both women had their names carved into their Valentino dresses for the new year. They even got matching tattoos, which further sealed their friendship.
